In the summer of 1997 my older brother received his very first Nintendo 64 along with one of the popular games that came with the bundle; Mario Kart 64. Compared to the slightly older Super Nintendo and its outdated predecessor the Nintendo Entertainment System, the 64 was a sleek technological wonder that would keep both my brother and I occupied for hours and then years on end.

'Metroid: Other M' is the Worst Game Ever Made
You're probably thinking right now about Superman 64, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, or the infamous ET for the Atari 2600 and wondering how anything could be worse than those. Those games barely functioned and some might even make the case that they aren't games at all so much as unfortunate experiences. Ironically, that could be seen as a saving grace in the face of Metroid: Other M. Such technically bad and broken games didn't have a Metroid title's expectations placed on them. They didn't have the technology of more modern games. Simply put, they just didn't have the room for such offensively incompetent content the likes of which you're about to read.

'Persona 4' the Golden Animation!
When I first purchased my PS Vita, I had no idea the endless amounts of joy and excitement I would get out of it. Naturally, after opening the package from Amazon I had begun to look at different games I could purchase. My eyes immediately went to Persona 4. Not only was it a mere 20 dollars, but it also had amazing reviews from the people that had played it. Usually PS vita games are a little more than 30 bucks, so I was delighted to be purchasing a game that was under the usual price range. I recently finished Persona (after literally 3-5 weeks of nonstop playing) and let me tell you...this might be one of the best roleplay games out there! When I had first finished the game, I was not satisfied with the ending I got, so I jumped on the internet to console an ending guide. After a brief reading of the guide I then knew what I had to do. Play the game all over again. A good thing about this game is that once you complete it the first time some of the stats that you earned from your previous play through will be applied when you restart the game! So it's not like you start all the way over, it actually makes the game a little easier. The stats that you acquire during this game along with the character development that comes along with it really makes this game unique. I really enjoyed building up the protagonist's stats, because when my stats were at a certain level, I was able to interact with other minor characters and also engage in certain dialogue choices with the main characters. Even though there is a set story line in the game, the creators of the game made it to where the player can pick and choose which aspects of the story they want to incorporate into their game play.

'Heavy Rain'
Prepare for a unique experience with this game as it is not like many others. If I had to compare it to anything else, I'd probably say Farhenheit or Shenmue as there is a heavy emphasis on role playing and cinematics. Heavy Rain puts you in the role of four characters, a loving father, a journalist, an FBI profiler, and a private investigator. The game plays out like a crime drama, there is a serial killer on the loose called "The Origami Killer," as he leaves a paper origami figure next to his victims. The killer murders young children as he gives their father a chance to save them but only by completing a number of gruelling trials. He does this during heavy rainfall, hence the name of the title.

EA Sports MMA
MMA is a game of the brutal sport of the same name released back in October 2010. It was one of the few titles released when game developers had started to make decent games about the sport. Dana White was feuding with the company after they showed disinterest in making a game for the UFC as they were already developing their own title. The winner here was the gaming community and the MMA fans; as it created an alternate title with all the fighters who were UFC quality, but were not fighting for the promotion at the time. The title had exciting favourites such as "King Mo," Bas Rutten, and Frank Shamrock, all quality fighters who had yet to star in the UFC promotion or had been snubbed for some reason or other.

'Max Payne'
Rockstar Games create some great games and are not only famous for their Grand Theft Auto series. If fans want an all out action experience, they can pick up another great game called Max Payne. Originally produced for the PC, it was then ported to consoles. Max Payne could still stand up in quality against some shooters today. The game looks and plays best on the PC, providing your system is powerful enough, but I had just as much fun playing it on the Playstation 2. On the console version the frame rate can lag from time to time though. You play as Max Payne, a police detective who comes home one day to find his wife and new born baby brutally murdered by junkies.

'Velvet Assassin' Review
Back in 2009 gamers may have missed this hidden gem in Velvet Assassin, a World War II stealth game. You take up the role of fictional spy Violette Summer who's quite easy on the eyes. The character is based on the real spy Violette Szabo and her likeness is uncanny to her fictional equivalent, giving the game a sense of realism. The game itself is very difficult and action fans will get a rude awakening if they choose to go in all guns blazing. You undertake Violette's missions from World War II in various assaults against the Germans. Objectives range from assassinating generals and blowing up depots to securing confidential documents.

10 Best Gifts for Gamers in 2018
Getting gifts for gamers can be, admittedly, kind of tough. There are so many options out there, and so many different types of gamers. Most people fall into one of four categories: Xbox lovers, PlayStation gamers, Nintendo fans, or PC gamers. Lots of people play more than one of these, but everyone has their mainstay. I, for example, mainly play on Nintendo consoles, but also play a lot on my PC, and plan on getting a PS4 Pro soon. But if I could only have one, I'd probably pick my Nintendo Switch. My birthday isn't that far away, so I certainly wouldn't mind if the important people in my life picked up one of these to gift me. 'Farm Frenzy 3: Russian Village'
I don't know why, but I have found myself addicted to this Farm Frenzy series despite its horrible effects and endless glitches. I think I might like the weird sense that I'm somehow running a business that can't go in debt. Also, I kinda like the bears for some reason. The excitement of never knowing when they are going to drop .. unless you already played that level of coarse.
