'Kingdom Come: Deliverance' Review
When it comes to large games put out by relatively small companies there is a tendency to be a little overly critical over some imperfections. A lot of those games tend to be priced a little less to accommodate for those issues that are, frankly, unavoidable with a small team. Sometimes that is not the case, however.

'Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons' Review
In a 2017 article with Glixel, Rami Ismail wrote about the ‘language of gaming’, which could be described as inherent and ubiquitous knowledge in video games that dictate narrative logic and colloquial control inputs. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons speaks in a dialect all its own on every front. While the story and controls occasionally stumble over their own words, Brothers manages to deliver a beautifully offbeat oration.

'Banjo-Kazooie' N64 Review
When I first looked myself in the mirror and said “I want to do a review series of games from 20 years ago,” my mind mostly set on a handful of old games: Spyro the dragon series (for which I own every installment), the PlayStation era Final Fantasy series (sadly, I missed the first of those games by a year) and Rare's Banjo duo were somewhere near the top of that list. So it was that I found Banjo-Kazooie in the short list of games released in June 1998, and I said, well, I know what part of the year I'm looking forward to.

'Metroid: Other M' is the Worst Game Ever Made
You're probably thinking right now about Superman 64, Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, or the infamous ET for the Atari 2600 and wondering how anything could be worse than those. Those games barely functioned and some might even make the case that they aren't games at all so much as unfortunate experiences. Ironically, that could be seen as a saving grace in the face of Metroid: Other M. Such technically bad and broken games didn't have a Metroid title's expectations placed on them. They didn't have the technology of more modern games. Simply put, they just didn't have the room for such offensively incompetent content the likes of which you're about to read.
