Two for One Special

"Oh you're a Gemini hey, that's pretty cool", the unsuspecting new acquaintance remarks. In due time, this person will soon come to realise that Gemini's are true to their star sign and have a minimum of two personalities at any given time.

I never gave much credence to astrology as a kid, even into my teens. As an adult however, sometimes I marvel at just how accurate the star sign is, compared to my personality. Bold but shy, outspoken but observant, organised chaos, party loving bookworm. Honestly, Gemini's should come with an instruction manual, " please place hand in bag & draw the personality you will experience today. No refunds".

I am the most introverted extrovert you will find. I love to party but I simultaneously hate human beings. Crowds make me uncomfortable but I love a good festival or a club. I will get angsty if my personal space is not organised down to the right colours but I don't want to get up and do it myself. I am proactively lazy, riddled with anxiety, life of the party, homemaker and breadwinner. I am essentially the human version of a Rubiks cube. One day you will work out how to twist the little colour cubes to perfectly sit the way you like but until then you're going to have to twist it the other way and well, get ready for a show.

Gemini's are supposed to get along really well with other Gemini's but due to their very identical personality traits, Gemini's can also be their own worst nightmare. I can pretty much guarantee you that Austin powers and Dr Evil were both Gemini's, hence they are each others nemesis. I find hilarity in this because my other half, he's a Gemini too and we are basically identical minus the whole anatomy part. We fight, we love, we laugh, we cry, we are deathly loyal to each other and we also sometimes secretly hope the other one is absorbed into another dimension. It's called balance.

Speaking of balance, essentially that was the point of Gemini's. They're supposed to be able to see both sides of the story, both sides of the coin if you may. That's just a nice way of saying we can simultaneously agree with you while disagreeing with you and can see every possible angle and determine which one benefits us most. Manipulative? hell yes. Smart? also hell yes!

We are a voracious kind, hungry for knowledge, curious about everything and obsessed with being up to date and in the know. In the workplace you will find us in positions where information is King IE technology, sales, marketing. We are logically creative so we can get our creativity on as long as it solves a problem. We don't particularly like frivolous creativity and rarely will you find us creating art for fun (sip and paint? more like sip and keep sipping while I pop some paint on this canvas so I look busy).

If you are a Gemini, you probably excel at at least four different ares in your life. You are an overachiever but you're never quite satisfied because you always want the next best thing. At the same time, you honestly just want to chill out. I personally believe if you surveyed all the schizophrenics in the world, there would be an unbalanced amount of Gemini's in there, just saying.

I am proud to be a Gemini, I think the star sign got it right. A little weird, definitely have a few personalities going on but overall loveable. Very sociable but also love some quiet time. Love a good book but won't say no to an escape room. If I could choose a different star sign, I would politely decline and continue on as my split personality self. After all, who doesn't love a two for one special.
