Home?
My eyes open slowly, unable to adjust to the bright light which filters itself through the glass of the cabin I have been sleeping in. The compartment opens, releasing me from its claustrophobic space and indicating that it is time to face a new day. I simply lay there, waiting for someone to force me to get up although I know that in this spaceship any sense of community, companionship or dependence does not exist. I hear complete silence, only broken by the distant sound of rapid footsteps, as if their tardiness could cost them their lives and in a sense, that is true. The few who managed to conquer the disease and catastrophes which shook our planet found themselves obliged to maintain the survival of our species by going into a spacecraft which has the purpose to take us to Galaia: a second Earth, somewhere in a remote solar system, far away from our beloved Milky Way in which the Earth and the majority of the population are now rotting in isolation, with no government or individual to take care of them and impose some form of order or sense of morality.

Why Flat Earth Theory Matters
By now most people have heard of the flat Earth theory and rightfully so, many have disregarded this idea as a ridiculously absurd, one not based on any empirical evidence. But despite not being backed by any hard science this idea is still gaining momentum as more and more are starting to question whether our planet really is a sphere. Furthermore, I don't intend this to be hyperbolic when I say that this theory and other similar ideas that challenge the literal and figurative foundation of our reality could very well be the downfall of Western civilization.

The UFOs That Got Me Curious
My first UFO sighting was when I was 12 years old on a cruise ship called the Viking Serenade off of the Catalina Islands in California while I was standing next to my mother on the deck. I saw a line of five lights, one behind the other, until it turned into a circle and disappeared. The X-Files came out in 1993, and this was the summer before seventh grade besides, as I’m class of 1999. From then on I was curious. I started reading everything I could find. The internet also had plenty of information. I can’t remember what year I saw a cigar-shaped craft while on the Mountain View, CA overpass on Shoreline but I saw something while in the car with my mother.

Science Fiction Novels That Have Predicted the Future
Albert Einstein stated that time travel could never be possible for humans, but these following authors looked past this very notion and went beyond their times to a place more realistic than that of their imaginations: the future. It's still unclear whether any one of them were time travelers or not, but it's safe to say they all had experiences reminiscent of the next phase in history. Their detailed storytelling foretold many events, or more specifically, the very machinery that would revolutionize our time.
