Mercury Retrograde in Scorpio
A Mercury retrograde in Scorpio, oh dear Lord help us all. I say that while I’m laughing because I myself am a Scorpio sun sign with a Stellium of eight planetary placements in Scorpio. Luckily for me I have done most of my work and have purged a lot out of my life that has needed to be purge to hopefully mitigate the effects of this retrograde in our sign of Scorpio. Review of 'Mnemophrenia'

I just watched Mnemophrenia, put up yesterday on Amazon and made last year. It's a brilliant, provocative, startlingly original movie, with no actresses and actors I've heard of, and written, directed, and produced by Eirini Konstantinidou, her first time out with a feature-length movie. I'll predict flatly that Mnemophrenia is destined to become a classic, and the first of movies made by Konstantinidou that will be similarly received.

Leaning on the synthetic carbon guardrail, Voltrex seemed to be lost in thought as he peered over the majestic metropolis he called home. Not far in the distance stood an “under maintenance” digiboard, that was currently installing a firmware update. The Beginning to a Novel I Will Never Find the Time to Write

I have never been outside… Never felt the amber rays of a falling sun drown my skin in warmth, or awoken to a blanket of mist silently resting over rolling fields… From what I have read, it has become increasingly apparent to me that Spring sounds like the richest and most beautiful time of year. Dickens speaks of March as the only month where the “sun shines hot and the wind blows cold." Only through novels, poetry, and words can I somewhat understand what home once was. What home could be again.

The House of Beauty

In today's world, those who wish to grasp at a fleeting fantasy or chance of reanimation after succumbing to terminal illness can choose (if they have the financial wherewithal) to have their body cryogenically frozen; in hope that, at some future date, when science will have been able to cure whatever disease it was that killed them, they can be "reanimated," as in H.P. Lovecraft's classic story; to be rejoined to what will be, to them we must assume, a brave, if puzzling and troubling, future world.

'Alien' Review

Ridley Scott’s Alien was released in the summer of 1979 and has since become an iconic movie that has spawned an eight film franchise. It has inspired many works in the genres of horror and sci-fi across multiple forms of media. It's often described as a classic and a must-see film. As such, I was very interested in watching this movie once it came back to theaters through Fathom Events. Admittedly, I don't really gravitate towards anything that's classified as horror and I certainly never go to the theater to watch movies of this genre. However, because this movie is held in such high regard, I felt it would be best if I experienced it in the theater for my first viewing.

Review: 'Star Trek: Short Treks' 2-1 & 2-2

The Short Treks format proved successful in its first run, with four short adventures that tied into Discovery. Of these, three were really very good, with only the opener “Runaway” seeming rather throwaway, and even that turned out to be surprisingly important for the resolution of Discovery's second season. The far future setting of “Calypso” laid hints for the finale of the second season and will doubtless tie in to the third, while “The Brightest Star” acted as a prequel to very important developments for Lt. Saru. Only the Harry Mudd episode “The Escape Artist” seem to be a completely standalone adventure, and even that may turn out to be more important later on.
