Under The Ice

A Drabble Of Survival

By Mike Singleton πŸ’œ Mikeydred Published 7 months ago β€’ 1 min read
A Nightcafe Creation By The Author

You were brave enough to cross the ice lake, but you were unprepared for the ice cracking and plunging you into the freezing waters below.

You are a survivor, though, and after the initial shock, you swam back up and hit the solid ice covering the lake.

However, you knew there was a gap between the water and the bottom of the ice, so you could breathe as you looked for where the ice had cracked.

That is what survivors do, they never give up, and they know that they are stronger than ice, which is riddled with weak spots.

Nice work, Mike. You are right, survivors always look for a solution, and most times there is one we just don't see it.

Great Drabble, Mike. Too many times in situations like that people panic or freeze. Getting the air and looking for weak spots in the ice is excellent advice.
