The Soldiers: Part 2
It sounded sincere and even a bit kind but Jimin was too scared to believe it. He turned around and crawled backwards, away from the man and away from the group. He thought about the last time he had to deal with this kind of situation. At this point, he asked himself if there was any hope left. Will they really let him go if he cooperated? He was getting more worried by the second but then he heard another voice saying: "I'll do it!"

The Soldiers: Part 1
It was raining blood and they had nowhere to go. There was war all around them and they had little chance of making it out alive but somehow they still did, barely. The battle raged in the distance and when he looked at the horizon, he saw that it would soon be too late, that the enemy had already been alerted by their actions in his country. He could still see the bodies piled up on the ground as he ran away from the place where he knew someone else would surely die for him and he hoped that somewhere they were safe. But if the only good thing that happened during this day was to save someone’s life then he wouldn’t complain about it.

Despair In This Small Town
The windows of the car had fogged up from their steamy breath as they raced down a straight stretch of road heading south out of their small god-fearing town. Blackness swallowed them, what was normally a bright starry sky was covered up with dark gray clouds sounding the alarm of the fast approaching storm.

Double Orange Radiation 2
PART 2: On the Gungnir, The Next Day: Time is relative. This quirk of physics becomes especially apparent on long term space voyages. New travelers often get an advanced form of jet lag or worse when they cannot adjust to life without a consistent day and night cycle. A tried and true tip from old military doctrine helped alleviate some of the nasty effects of time disorientation for officers of the Armada: “sleep whenever possible.”
