From Dawn to Dusk
The constant roar of water made Amonsun-Ra grin as he neared Axul Falls. V’losa was nowhere to be seen, but that was to be expected of the huntress. She moved undetectable through the rainforest, and he would not be surprised if she was even invisible.

Lost Souls
Aiden watched a small red-headed girl pacing outside the shop. She tugged nervously at the drawstrings on her jacket and her shoulders curled inward as if to make herself smaller. It was dusk, and October certainly wasn't the best time of year for children to visit the apothecary. There was no telling what creatures might appear as the barrier between the living and dead weakened. By the girl's expression, you'd think the grim reaper himself might be inside.

A steampunk story I still don't have a name for
EMILIA Emilia felt her newly shorn curls tenderly. They were lying on the floor of the old salon, glinting in the moonlight. They looked like blood against that brown floor, curling, like rivers, rivers of blood. She wouldn't be so upset if Jesse hadn't just told her they were pretty, but there wasn't much to do about it.

Death Gathering
They all gathered there in the open field, cloaked in their different colors. Four young ladies stood there, the first one to let their hood slip was a girl with mint green eyes. Her dark green hair was up in a crown braid, many small marigold flowers were laced in it. Her skin was a peaches-and-cream with light fading make- up. She looked way too young to be in the presence of all of them. She fell daintily down to the ground; as soon as her hands were placed on the ground flowers started to grow around her. She let her head lift up and back as her face hit the warm sun and then looked back at the other ladies, giving them a comforting smile as the mood of the others seemed to calm down. As if someone had slipped something into their veins to make them more agreeable.

Silverwood Academy
Annalise Thorne stared up at the gloomy gothic mansion before her with a heavy heart. This was her new home, Silverwood Academy. Three weeks ago, her father had died, leaving her in the care of her Aunt, Cherise “Sherry” Blackwell. Only Sherry seemed more interested in the family holdings than the 16-year-old girl she’d been saddled with. So, her solution had been to send Anna off to boarding school.

Heaven's Garden
A zephyr carried the alluring fragrance of fresh air and earthy tones only a forest could provide. Beams of light were scattered through the canopies as a young girl’s sneakers left imprints on their path. Her steps slowed and she quickly glanced at her brother who was less than eager to keep her pace. Her dimples appeared as she dashed ahead.

A Roomful of Dragons
Asha takes a deep breath as she enters the room. The heavy oak door has been expertly fitted on its hinges; it glides open with only the softest whisper. Golden sunlight streams from the high windows, catching the dust motes that dance in its radiance. The paneling on the walls still fills the room with the scent of cut wood, all these years later.

3. Break
Lina stood stock still as she looked at the people surrounding her, her eyes touching upon them one after another. It was a trap, had to be. But they were all clearly just common folk - maybe some artists but otherwise farmers and such, hardly any thinkers and certainly no fighters.
