Dragons of Arcania
There weren’t always dragons in the valley until this very day when something peculiar happened…. On a beautiful spring day in a small village called Arcania. The villagers of Arcania were living their everyday lives until a dark shadow came upon them and to their surprise it was a dragon. They were in shock that not very many dragons appeared; they were uncontrollable beasts.

Red, Bread, Incineration
“I swear by all the gods, if you little buggers don’t clear out of my stores…” a deeply flustered Rej Prim bellowed at the handful of wyvern who were scuttling about his flour bins. The tiny red dragons hissed in Rej’s general direction and continued to scratch and bite the corner of the storage vessel containing an especially fine grade of rye-amaranth bread flour.

The World Before Ours
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Just normal creatures that roamed the earth. My elders would often talk about the world before ours. One where humans laid waste to the land that in turn evolved to survive us. There were vast open seas, rivers, or lakes, sometimes man made. Vehicles that ran on gas or electricity and of course predators and prey alike that we often locked up in zoos. Skyscrapers that pierced the sky, submarines that traveled to the depths of the ocean and trains that traveled across miles. Most importantly A sun that didn’t cook us alive . Now the environment is less than forgiving and every day is just another day to survive the chaos.

Zyneaus Wrath
There weren't always dragons in the Valley. Reniker changed that. Greed changed that. Valah froze as the vision came to her. A deafening roar echoed through Mount Taluia. The Dragon Queen, crying. The King, enraged. Kaporiya. Her village. Charred remains. Buildings destroyed. Villagers terrified. Fire raging.

The Mercenary Malefactor
There weren’t always dragons in the valley. Well, not since some lunatic named Kormack went on a mad bender and decided to wipe them all out of existence some eight hundred years ago. Since then everything was quite quiet, relatively speaking. I mean, sure there was the war to determine which country would lay claim to the fertile soil and the extremely well positioned river that had been somewhat inaccessible until then and of course the border disputes that arose once a decade or so but that’s just the nature of things. All in all, everything was rather peaceful in the kingdom of Leigh.

Breath of Fire
“There weren’t always dragons in the valley” Her ears had perked at his voice, filled with such wonder and enthusiasm. He was speaking to a young boy, possibly his grandson. She had only glanced over for a second, cynicism lining her gaze. Surely, he didn’t think this was better than before? How could he?
