Fable
Origin
Before time, before music, before magic and mystery, before myths and legends and cults of personality, in the absence of light and sound and humanity, there existed a little known Void. As the innocent blood soaked into the soil, Kanawa felt the desperate summoning begin–his last gambit to stem the tide rising on their shores.

Yet, in the shudder of leaves and murmurs of the breeze, another story of empathy, mindful, and the associations that tight spot all living things together began to arise.

He came back to himself at the top of the rise. This hill, he knew, was the horizon he had seen his horse disappearing over. At first glance at what lay beyond, he drooped. The view was the same in front as behind, except the horizon was a whole lot farther away again. He had no idea how long it had taken him to get to this one; the journey had seemed plodding and endless.
