QAOS Comes To Allhallowtide
An Example Piece For The Octoberon Challenge

The village had always been dark.
No one knew who named it, but there was a feeling of lost souls and darkness, even during the day.
This was the place where the ideas of Halloween, ghosts, resurrections, devils and more bled out into the imagination of the rest of the world.
Halloween had become a holiday for children to dress up as dark creatures such as ghosts and vampires, but the darkness had drained into sugar-coated sweets.
Anyone who came through Allhallowtide never saw anyone. There were no shops, public houses or restaurants, and the only signs of life were flickering lights in some houses and shadows that moved behind the curtains.
Allhallowtide was a village of dark and hidden ghosts, but their influence on the world was waning.
Halloween and The Day of the Dead held no fear for the world, but that would soon change.
The dark one who had named Allhallowtide now walked the streets and the name of this dark demon was QAOS.
Darkness bled from QAOS into the ghostly denizens of Allhallowtide, and from them, a darkness and fear spread to the outside world.
Halloween came and children did not want to go trick-or-treating, they were frightened that some darkness was waiting for them. The spirit of QAOS had returned fear and fright to Halloween.
The streets of Allhallowtide were darker than ever, and the world was more frightened in the days that followed Halloween.
QAOS was satified with their work for this year, but they would be back when the next summer was dead....

This is a tale that should be told on stormy night with the lights out if you know what I mean. What a great little horror story. Happy Halloween.
