It Is Arboreal
An Alien In Alnwick - A SciFi Drabble
Across the river Aln, in a field, stands a strange creature, well, two of them actually. As the walker walked towards what he thought was an arboreal gate, a voice in his head spoke to him:
"We are observing before our reassimilation of this planet. You are our food source now"
The walker stopped and looked in horror as his flesh began to dissolve and flow towards the thing in the field.
There were not even any bones left. The ground was clear.
The arboreal thing stood and waited for its next meal.
The invasion and humanity's extinction had begun.

Care Instructions
Thank you, for agreeing to watch my animals again. I understand last time, how difficult Lucy made the experience for you. Lucy really is a good dog, granted she has her corks but I know once you learn to navigate her eccentricities the two of you will get along splendidly. Hopefully, these instructions will help with that learning curve, so this transition will be uneventful while you’re together. Let’s start with instructions for Ruby Bubbles care, being a cat she is by far my low maintenance pet.
