Jason gazed longingly into the eyes of his 28th victim.
“You’re the only one,” he said, as he gazed longingly into her eyes. “I can count on.”
“You, too, are the only person I trust.”
“I want to be your future baby’s father. Someday, there will be three of us.”
“I want your baby. In fact, I’ll do anything for you.”
“I need another five thousand.”
“I’ll send six. Should I be worried?”
“No. Thanks to you, she’ll be fine,” he said, standing up. “Her seventh test result is due. I need to go."

As the plane approached 10,000 feet, Beth hung up the phone call from her husband mid-conversation. He mentioned he had something important to say, but whatever it was, it would have to wait. Nothing, not even a death in the family, could interfere with FAA regulations to maintain a sterile cockpit below 10,000 feet.
