I hadn't felt the warmth of the sun's light nor seen her golden glow seep over the horizon in nearly two days. Winter sunsets this far north truely are magical; they can take your breath away.

Even down here, trapped in this chasm, I must admit my tomb is still brimming with beauty. The shimmerng brilliance of the icicles compliment the powdery snow, whimsically swirling. Although I couldn't see much of the sky, the twinkling of the ice was as if stars surrounded me. Gazing up and forgetting my predicament, I let the peace of the muffled silence set in.

...Suddenly, a piercing screech rang throughout the fissure I had fallen into, ending my peaceful transendance I accepted.

Lifting my head (all I could do without severe pain), I saw glowing red eyes glaring at me from 50 yards. A chill raced up my spine. This creature was unknown to me; standing 8 feet tall on two legs, having long claws and three tails.

It ran towrds me, screaming. Fear left me frozen...

Grabbing the icicle that stabbed through my instestines from the fall, I yanked it out and screamed back at the beast!

..... My body fell back into my rock bed, and I saw a blood moon looking down on me. I chuckled to myself. If some adventurer like me ever finds me, frozen stiff in my cold tomb... they'll know I went out fighting. The bloody Yeti lay beside me, with my ice sword through his neck.
