I didn't want to kill her... I had to.
The voices had to stop!
Moonlight shimmers off the blood-splattered walls of our bedroom. Veronica lays limp on the carpet. Kneeling beside her body, I peer into her eyes, like a lens into our past... into our souls... hoping to absorb the love we had.
“I need a respectful goodbye, not this… carnage!”
Police lights flash across our walls. I lift her head up as I press my forhead against hers. Tears rain down; streaming forth crimson. "Goodbye, my love."
Alone in my cell, her voice is added to the others.
