An Endless River

A Thoughtpiece

Introduction

The title of the final Pink Floyd album is part of the inspiration for this thoughtpiece, but the music was a little too hard so I chose "River" by Joni Mitchell, my friend Cherri's favourite song.

An Endless River

To sit by a river, and see and hear the water flow, coming down in rills and streams from the distant snow-covered mountains. See the bubbles and fish jumping as they follow the flow of the waters as they make their way toward the distant ocean.

Dip your hand into the water and feel it soothe your aches and worries. You know in five minutes that will be a different river and will never be here again, but it will always be here for you to sooth your soul on its way to become one with the sacred blue ocean.

Sit on the river bank and feel the water run over your legs, making you one with this wonder of nature.

This river will always flow, always change and always be here for you. Here you can bathe, and mend all your woes, as you dream, hearing the river flow on its endless journey.

Think about these images as you fall into your dreams in your peaceful slumbers......

Exactly, you let me remember when I did this in younger days sitting by the creek that in my old backyard. Great work.

Very calming. I've always liked this song by Joni Mitchell, too. Well done, Mike.
