Where to get some good grub and beer?
Try Matter of Craft in Huntington Beach
It's mealtime; who's hungry? But where to eat? Sure, you could play rock, paper, scissors. To choose where to eat. Or you can head down to the cross street of Beach and Atlanta and have a seat at this fascinating place called Matter of Craft. This Gastropub restaurant made its debut in 2019 in Huntington Beach, California, a city known for its surfing, and crafts its meals from scratch, so some dishes take more time to prepare, but the wait is worth it.

Even the beers are made from scratch. So as a result, the location also serves as a bottle shop and taproom. The Matter of Craft's own Kitchen Chef Todd Barr and the kitchen staff prepare the food daily. Here, everyone gets something they like. From the picky-eater kids to vegan dishes or just out for a good meal. So why come here to get some chow? Here are a few suggestions also; check out the menu on the Matter of Craft website to see more opinions:

Matter of Craft offers a variety of delicious choices, including traditional chicken wings, Mozzarella cheese sticks, and meatballs. If you're looking for something fancier, we suggest Bacon Wrap Dates drizzled with beer honey, Roasted Brussels Sprouts with Genoa salami and parmesan, topped with balsamic reduction, or Deep-fried Calamari Fries breaded with seasoned panko breadcrumbs, served with two dipping sauces: sweet and hot chili or Marinara. Whatever you decide, your taste buds will rave.

Depending on your appetite. You can go for a half salad if you want a lighter option, or dive into a whole salad if you’re really hungry. You’ve got some great options.

If you prefer something classic, the Angus beef cheeseburger is a hearty choice, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor.

For those who enjoy a bit of spice, the Buffalo chicken sandwich will certainly hit the spot with its zesty kick your taste buds will love. And let’s not overlook the wraps—they're just as tasty and offer a great option if you’re looking for something handheld and easy to enjoy. Whatever you choose, you’re in for a treat!

We have a selection of refreshing fountain drinks, craft cocktails, selections of wine, and, of course, freshly brewed coffee when you enter the restaurant, but if you're in the mood for an ice-cold beer, say no more! Join us for Brunch on Saturday and Sunday at 10 am.
Whether you're in the mood for a breakfast burrito, breakfast burger, breakfast pizza, or just a classic breakfast, we've got what you need. Have a seat, pick your meal, and chow down. Need suggestions on what to order? How about Gerry's breakfast burrito? It is made by the cook it was named after; this burrito has eggs, crispy bacon, fried potatoes, grilled onions, tomato, diced jalapeños for that spiciness, and is topped with cheese. Best of all, it comes with a side of avocado and tomatillo salsa to make your taste buds sing. Or perhaps you'd like some refried beans, maybe some beef or vegetarian chorizo inside the burrito? Just ask for Casie's breakfast burrito instead. However, if you'd like it to be gluten-free, we can serve it in a bowl without a tortilla, so you can enjoy the burrito without feeling guilty about it.
Not feeling like a burrito? Don't worry; we have a delicious breakfast burger that comes with an Angus beef patty, cheddar, a fried egg, crispy bacon, and topped with hollandaise sauce to give a kick to your taste buds to wake up and smell the bunch!
Or maybe you’re feeling a classic breakfast, like eggs, bacon, pancakes, or French toast served with butter and maple syrup, and we can't go wrong with a classic; I know the kids will love it. But if you're feeling pizza, we've got breakfast pizza in two sizes: 12" or 16". And just like our regular pizzas, we have a 12" gluten-free crust available. With each pizza, you have your choice of egg, either soft yolk, hard yolk, or scrambled. Check out the three options to find out which one you want.
The Savage: This wild one comes with shredded mozzarella, Mushrooms, eggs, potatoes, your choice of crispy spam or bacon, chipotle aioli, and topped with chives.
La Mexicana: No need to go to Mexico for this little lady. This pizza is spicy with jalapeño, shredded mozzarella, vegetarian chorizo, potatoes, eggs, avocado, tomatillo, salsa, roasted to perfection, red bell peppers, pickled onions, and topped with cilantro.
And finally, The Benedict: you've heard of Eggs Benedict; well, this pizza not only has roasted red bell peppers, shredded mozzarella, and eggs, but it also has prosciutto, hollandaise, and is topped with Chives. Oh, yum yum.
How about we finish off this delicious brunch meal with one of our very famous breakfast drinks? Are you feeling something with bubbles? I recommend a house champagne. You could choose a glass or a bottle. Typically, a mimosa is always a good choice. But a craft cocktail is another good choice for brunch, like a Bloody Mary or something spicy, say? A Bloody Beer? Think of a Bloody Mary with a Mexican-style lager beer with a Tajin rim. If you're looking for something to chill out in Huntington Beach, try the Classic Espresso Martini. This cold brew coffee has a simple syrup and coffee liqueur.
Every Tuesday, join us around 6:30 pm for Trivia Tuesday, a social event where beer and brains come together with friends. It's free to join, and prizes are awarded to the winners in first, second, and third place.
Wine Wednesday: Enjoy a glass of wine at 20% off by the bottle or a glass; it's your choice. Would you like to enjoy some dessert with your wine? Say no more - our delicious, scratch-made desserts pair perfectly with any wine. To sweeten the deal, desserts are 50% off. This offer is dine-in only. So, invite friends and coworkers, or enjoy some "me time."
