This is nacho average football party.

And it will never be the same after you try these!

My Loaded Nachos

It's the 55th Super Bowl! Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are itching to settle this on the field.

This year things are definitely being played out differently. Whether you're a fan of these teams or not, we can all agree that nachos are a must on game day! The crunch, spice and overall sight of them melt my patience to devour them. There are many varieties of nachos, but here is what you need for mine.

  • Tostitos hint of lime chips
  • Fiesta shredded cheese mix
  • Jalapenos
  • On The Border medium salsa
  • Ground beef
  • Green onions
  • (Optional) Sour cream

First you cook the ground beef in a pan. Season well with salt and pepper. Optionally add paprika, garlic powder and onion powder.

While the meat is cooking preheat the broiler on low. Bust open one bag of chips and layer the bottom of a baking sheet. Sprinkle on a layer of shredded cheese, salsa, green onions and jalapenos.

After draining the meat, add it on top of the nachos. At this point you can add more chips. Last but not least, smother the whole thing with cheese! Place that bad boy in the oven, and be sure to keep an eye on it! You want the cheese melted, but you do not want to burn any chips! If you want that creamy element, grab sour cream and plop some blobs on top.

Adding guac on the side is like having your favorite team win, amazing! All you need are...

  • Avocados
  • Lime
  • Tomatoes
  • Red onion
  • Salt and pepper

Half a couple ripe avocados, deseed and add to a bowl. Depending on how much you like or dislike red onions, finely dice and add to the avocados. I personally use about 1/4 of a regular sized onion. Attack a tomato and throw it in as well.

Slice a lime and squeeze the juice out of it, cause it hasn't been properly murdered yet. Season with salt and pepper, making sure you taste your creation. Mix well and adjust the salt and pepper levels if needed.

My Homemade Guacamole

Not only is everything easy to make, but affordable as well. You don't have to break the bank in order to have exceptional snacks. We've attacked so many pizzas for game day, it is time to switch it up. Yes, nachos are messy, but nothing beats the cheesy, salty, crunchy and filling pile of goodness! You better have a stack of napkins at the ready too!

With such a dynamic duo already, what do you grab to wash it down with? Water? Pepsi? Coca-Cola? Vanilla root beer floats come to mind, but is more a dessert than a cool, bubbly drink. Sprite hits different and has always been my go to, however if you want to score big, grab some Fresca! Fresca has the fizz you want with the calories you don't.

Fresca Flavors

These are the three flavors that Fresca has to offer. I have tried all of them and I cannot get enough of them!

As it gets later and later, you need something sweet to finish off the night. There are so many options. What we typically do is make brownies or cookies and add a couple scoops of ice cream to complete the bowl. The Ben & Jerry's half baked ice cream is beyond delicious and pairs well with both brownies and cookies!

The only thing left is to watch the game! Enjoy the food, tolerate the people, make a mess and stay up way too late.

As far as the game itself, I understand football, but I do not have a favorite team. I lean more toward soccer. With that being said, I do believe Kansas City has a strong chance at winning. Even though Tampa has Tom Brady, things could get very interesting.

Drink responsibly, eat till your pants feel too tight and enjoy the game!
