Difference Between Matcha and Green Tea
Both mecha and regular green tea come from green tea leaves. But it’s only about one thing that both have in common because they differ by color, composition, taste, where the tea leaves are grown, preparation, nutritional profiles and health benefits.

Best of summer: PICKLES!
There’s nothing quite like the garden-fresh vegetables of summer! The crunch of home-grown produce, straight off the vine? Nothing compares! I spent many summers weeding and eating in my family’s numerous gardens. My grandparents on both sides of my family put in large gardens, and my dad’s father always carried a pocketknife and a small shaker of salt in the pocket of his ever-present overalls. He would unearth a potato, rutabaga, or carrot, shake off most of the dirt, then offer me a slice. This was my first introduction to many veggies – particularly less common varieties like kohlrabi.

Watermelon Sugar High
Summer has been my favorite season from the time I was a kid. Summer means bright sun in blue skies, no schedule, lake days, back yard baseball games and rounding it all off with my favorite meal of my father's slider burgers, pan fried potatoes, fresh cut watermelon and corn on the cob. I can feel the breeze hitting my face as the wasps swarm our plastic plates on our back patio.

Oh My, It's Okra!
I've known very little about okra. I remember working the kitchen line and having to slice okra for our appetizer menu. I didn't like the slimy texture, nor the seeds inside of the oblong form. The stringy film with every julienne cut convinced me okra wouldn't be one of my favorite foods to eat.

Saffron bulbs are the heart of the saffron industry and play a central role in this field. The first thing that we need for growing saffron is some Crocus Sativus bulbs, you should know the best time for buying and planting them is in summer because saffron growth period seasons are fall and winter.

The Health Benefits of Avocados
Avocado is a bit like marmite whereas you’ll either love it or hate it, I’m not a fan of it personally but I appreciate the ways in which it has been cultivated and used in various forms. Avocado smoothies are readily available and in general avocados are used alongside other ingredients to aid weight loss.

Harvest Breakfast
A Harvest Breakfast. Our kitchen window looks out onto the garden from between a vine of honeysuckle and a climbing rose. This morning, the sun-splashed garden is heavy with a late summer dew and the light breeze through the open window, laced with the scents of harvest and dust, has that fresh hint of autumn, just around the corner.
