7 Red Foods That Are Essential for Health and Longevity
An apple a day really may keep the doctor away. That’s a red apple, to be precise. Red foods are particularly rich in disease-fighting antioxidants. These compounds are believed to combat the effects of free radicals, which are unstable atoms that can damage cells and foster illness and aging. Lycopene, the antioxidant that gives red fruits and vegetables their bright red color, is believed to reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. While most plant-based foods are generally healthy, these seven red fruits and vegetables rise to the top as particularly smart choices for anyone interested in supporting good health and longevity.

Toilet: "I've Bean on It!"
Growing up, I wasn't a fan of beans—except for pork and beans. I didn't like the taste of black eyed peas. I highly disliked lima beans and good luck with me eating a navy bean. Hell, I use to eat around the kidney beans in my father's chili!

Eating for Longevity: Foods for a Long, Healthy Life
It has never been more obvious than it is now what an important impact the nutrients we intake through our day have on our overall health. We’ve been told many times that greasy food, fast food and any kind of gold-colored food isn’t good for us, and there are many reasons for it. Researchers have made the effort to put together hundreds of papers that show how malnutrition is connected to the most common diseases in the world, especially cardiovascular issues and diabetes. Unhealthy eating can also affect your brain and cause premature aging, as well as cancer. Although we can’t eat everything good (despite all our efforts), we can try to enhance our food supply with the best ingredients and boost our health as much as possible, and here are some ways to do so.

I Gave Up Wheat and Got My Life Back. Top Story - September 2019.
It’s not so much that I decided to give up wheat, as I was just really sick of matzoh. Passover came along and I thought 'I just can't do the matzoh this year.' Well, I did try. The only way I can find those dry crackers palatable is by covering them in lots of butter and salt. I tried that for two days and was plagued by the stomach troubles that had dogged me all of my life due to "lactose intolerance.'

The 3 Best Fulfilling Salads
One of the most common healthy options on the menu is the salad. Oh the salad, the option we used to scrunch our faces at when we were kids. Yes those were the days when we actually looked at the food instead of the calorie amount. Salads are probably one of the most popular meals in January when everyone is making their New Year's resolutions. Sure salads are healthy, but most times when we get salads, we’re not getting the most nutritious value out of our Caesar’s and Kale. Instead, we’re given a plate that is 95% lettuce with little bits of chicken sprinkled on top, and this leaves us not satisfied and at risk of eating more. Salads may be the least desired meal to some, but those people don’t know that there are several places that offer fulfilling salads. These are healthy, and most importantly they won’t leave you staring at your friend’s burritos; some of them even look like the salads you see when you look up the word salad. These healthy salads are protein packed and aren't just filled with lettuce. Whether you're staring a new high protein diet or just simply in need of a healthier lifestyle, these meals are for you. This list can also serve as healthier options from your favorite restaurants. As someone who is always looking for the meal with the lowest calories when I go out, I hate having to take a long time to look at the menu, so I hope this is very helpful. When making this small list of salads, I decided to exclude the salads from places who make those as their specialty like Sweetgreen or Salad bar. Those salads are probably amazing, but these are more affordable and more for the average person. If you're rich, I do recommend you stop reading this and just go to Sweetgreen, which always has the best advertisements.
