parents
The boundless love a parent has for their child is matched only by their capacity to embarrass them.
Saying Goodbye To The Other Woman. Top Story - August 2024.
In the beginning, she was merely a symbol, a wrecking ball that invaded our family and smashed it apart. I didn’t ask what her name was at first. If I knew her name, that would make her a real person who slept with my husband without a thought for his wife or his two young sons. In my grief was a speck of doubt that this was really happening and that my husband was walking out of our front door after sixteen years to be with her.

Not Caring and Letting the Child Go and The Dangers of Imposing Opinions Without Explaining
We come to the point of ignorance and neglect. This neglect is one thing that will make the mistakes accumulate and the deviations that occur to them become a habit that will continue to be carried into adulthood. So, the attitude of parents in seeing mistakes, deviations, and errors in children, especially teenagers, is to try to overcome them and show concern for these problems.

The Struggle Raising Children In The Age Of Technology.
The 90s were a weird soup of technological progress and traditionalism. I remember my childhood was full of playing outside, drawing, coloring, reading, and playing board games. When Playstation came out it was the coolest thing since sliced bread. And Internet? Whew!

Pearls are for Tears - Happy and Sad. Content Warning.
A/N: To start, an explanation of where I've been: Over Victoria Day Weekend (around May 20th, 2024), I went home to visit my family and meet my niece (Aurora) for the first time. My mom had recently been released from the hospital after a scare with blood clots. They weren't sure what caused them yet, but the suspicion was cancer. Not long after that weekend, the suspicion was confirmed: my mom had gallbladder cancer. A rare and sneaky form of cancer, it had already spread too far by the time we knew it was there. She sadly passed on June 25th, 2024. I wrote this as a speech that I gave during her celebration of life. With much encouragement from family, friends, and neighbours, I am now also sharing it here and on my ko-fi page for others to read. I don't feel right putting the usual call to action type things on this piece, so instead all I ask is that if there is someone in your life you've been meaning to talk to about something or just that you haven't talked to in a while, please make sure you tell them how you feel about them. You never know when your world will be turned upside down and you might lose the chance.

Elara in a Beautiful Mountains
In a quiet valley nestled between two towering mountains, there was a small village called Serenity. The villagers lived simple lives, tending to their sheep and cultivating their fields. The mountains, known as the Elder Peaks, stood like ancient guardians, their snow-capped summits glistening under the sun. The peaks held many secrets, with paths and trails known only to the bravest of explorers.
