Crazy Little Socks
One day on a nice warm summer Sunday, there lived a family of 4, Mom (Delilah), Dad (Steve) and 2 little boys, Eric and Andre. They were getting ready for a Church Picnic when the oldest boy Eric couldn't find his church socks. He looked high and low for them but nothing, then finally he told gave up and asked his dad could he borrow a pair of his. The father said, "Yes you may but where are your church sock?"

Nursery must haves
Having your first baby or even another baby in general, can be stressful in itself. when you add on the task of getting everything in order before baby it can be even worse. 9 months always sounds like a long time, until the 7th month rolls around and you're in a deep panic realizing the nursery is empty or you just have a ton of swaddle blankets, clothes, and diapers from your baby shower.

Boys!
Boys! Men! All male genes in general! Do you ever just sit back and think, OMG how could the universe create such disgusting creatures? lol. As a mom of 2 boy toddlers and of course married to another toddler, I sometimes wonder, how in the hell they 1) survive without females and 2) how they can be so disgusting. I mean, come on, how hard is it for 1) to go pee and raise the toilet seat up before you take a leak?!? It is not hard at all, but I guess it means to them it takes more time to do that. Hell, if you cannot put the toilet seat up before you piss then at least have the curtesy to clean it up! I cannot tell you how many times I have gone to the bathroom to sit down and pee and OMG, sat right in it. Ugh, makes me want to scream. If it is not the toilet seat being lifted or cleaned up, it is the drops on the floor that I step in....I mean good gosh, is it that hard to shake your penis off when you get done peeing?!? Oh, and did I mention, is it that hard to hit a huge hole to piss?!? I mean you have this huge bowl in front of you, can you not control your aim?!? It seriously cannot be that hard!!!

Why I Go Overboard for My Kid’s Birthday
Every year during my son’s birthday party, I get mixed comments. From “Oh my gosh! I need your help with my little one’s birthday. You are so creative!” to “Wow, go overboard much? I mean, it’s not like he’s going to remember it anyway.”

Managing Life with an Autistic Child
Currently, I am a Correctional Officer by trade. I have three beautiful children but only my son is Autistic. My children are my joy and my reason for living but this one thing has created many obstacles for me. I am a single mother mostly. I do have a significant other but as my son is not biologically his I do not expect nor do I want him making decisions about my son's life. I found out my son was Autistic earlier this year just before Covid-19 was a huge thing.

Free to Be
Does anyone remember the iconic children's album and illustrated book from the 1972 called Free To Be... You and Me? While I don't remember this "Top 100 Albums of All Time" work, published when I was 6 years old, I know that the phrase "Free To Be" has resonated through my being for as long as I can remember. This work by Marlo Thomas and several of her friends tells ALL children that they can be whomever and whatever they can be. Here we are, 48 years later, still working on this same message.

Has there ever been a right time to start a family?
Is there a right time to start a family? I’ve heard many opinions over the years about this and it wasn’t until around the beginning of 2019 that this question really came to mind and I found out I was expecting in 2020!

Setting the Mommy Standard
I read an article while I was pregnant that said something to the effect of your baby shower sets the tone of the type of mom you'll be. Now, I didn't know if that was factual or not, but I've seen enough posts on social media that made motherhood look awful. I was not even having that. The only thing I wanted was not to lose myself in motherhood. I'm still me regardless.

Kids-why you won’t sleep much for a few years
It was the dark of night and all through the house, not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse… Then you hear a whisper, ‘mamma. Mamma.’ you close your eyes tight and hope it will pass. It doesn’t. You glance at the alarm clock to see if it’s worth climbing back into bed afterwards. It’s 4:30 am.
