Feeling Worthless Ever since I quit my job, which was not going well anyway, I’ve been feeling quite worthless. I know that taking care of the children is very important. I even dreamed of being a stay-at-home mom when I was working regularly. I could not wait to quit.

When You Have a Sick Child My first son was diagnosed with jaundice. His body couldn’t remove the bilirubin from his system so it built up, causing his skin to look orange. To treat the disease, babies are put under bright lights. This helps to break up the bilirubin, allowing it to be passed more easily.

Daughter, Please Forgive Me?
Every night I go to sleep and wonder if, upon awakening, my daughter will still be alive. You see, I made a big mistake as a mother. I let my insecurities and demons get the better of me, and I put a man before my daughter. I was too scared to stand on my own two feet because I felt so broken. I didn’t think I had the strength to help and protect my daughter. I was stupid, and I won’t make any excuses for my stupidity. I could say I let love blind me, but that would be a lie. It was simply fear of being on my own.

What Are Quarantine Pods and Do You Need One?
September is here and for many families in Texas, that means kids are returning to school, and with that comes a sense of worry and concern about the spread of disease and germs, especially the spread of Covid-19. Kids are notoriously social creatures and while at school, they will meet old friends and make new friends. Once they leave school and come home, for the younger children, it may be difficult to make them understand why they can’t have friends over to play or why they can’t spend the night over at a friend’s house. One solution that emerged back at the beginning of the pandemic and is gaining ground again as our nation faces potential lockdowns and more isolation, is the concept of Quarantine Pods.
