Gebel Elba National Park

Gebel Elba National Park is located located near Marsa Alam, a tourist town in southeastern Egypt. The park has a lovely mountainous area with valleys and hills including a stretch of coral reef and mangrove coastline, a stretch of desert, and 22 islands in the Red Sea. At its heart stands Gebel Elba Mountain, a towering granite peak surrounded by arid plains, wadis (dry river valleys), and coastal wetlands along the Red Sea.
The park is home to the Beja people, an indigenous nomadic community with a deep connection to the land.

This national park gets a lot of rainfall so it is very green with a lot of wildlife living here.You'll find her the Nubian ibex, Dorcas gazelle, African wildcat, and reptiles like monitor lizards and horned vipers thrive in the park’s harsh conditions.

Gebel Elba National Park a crucial habitat for migratory and resident bird species, including the Verreaux’s eagle, Lappet-faced vulture, and the striking African grey hornbills.

The coastal wetlands and mangrove forests along the Red Sea further enhance the park’s biodiversity, providing nesting grounds for seabirds and supporting marine life such as sea turtles, crabs, and a variety of fish species.
Nabq National Park

The national park is close to Sharm el-Sheikh, an Egyptian city on the southern tip of the Sinai Peninsula. Nabq National Park has largest mangrove stand in the Gulf of Aqaba and the northernmost mangroves in the Indian Ocean/Red Sea area.

Nabq National Park has one of the largest populations of gazelles in south Sinai. Both the Nubian and the Hyrax gazelles live here.

In and around the mangroves you'll find herons, spoonbills, and ospreys..
Ras Mohammed National Park

This national park is located on the Sinai Peninsula, near Sharm el-Sheikh. Ras Mohammed National Park has some of the most beautiful marine ecosystems and coral reefs. It is home to more than 1,500 types of marine life. The landscape includes lovely valleys, mountains, gravel plants, and dunes.

Visitors enjoy snorkeling and diving. Beneath the water are barracudas, huge tuna, hammerhead sharks, grey tipped and white tipped sharks, colorful angelfish, and butterfly fish. There are colorful reefs, sea urchins, 40 different species of starfish and 150 species of crustaceans. Besides enjoying the sea life on diving trips you can also see amazing shipwrecks.
Saint Catherine Protectorate

Saint Catherine Protectorate is located in the South Sinai Desert. It has a rugged lanscape and is home to some of the highest peaks with Mount Sinai, being the most popular. Hikes to the top of this peak take about 4 hours to climb. You can also attempt to climb the highest peak in Egypt found here which is Geberl Katerina. Visitors can engage in hiking, mountain climbing, and exploring historical sites.

Saint Catherine Protectorate is thought to be the site where Moses received the Ten Commandments. There are man y historical sites to explore including the famous Saint Catherine's Monastery built in the 6th century by Byzantine Emperor Justinian. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Fauna includes the Nubian ibex, striped hyena, and over 46 reptile species, 15 of which are unique to the region.
Wadi el Gemal National Park

Wadi el Gemai National Park is located near Marsa Alam, a tourist town in southeastern Egypt. The park is in the Red Sea region with various landscapes that include coral reefs, beaches, and rugged mountains. Visitors can enjoy bird watching, hiking, or biking.

Wild animals making their homes here include the Nubian Ibex, wild foxes, gazelles, and a range of different wild birds.

Wadi el Gemai Island is home to turtles and dugongs. You can enjoy snorkeling and diving.
This national park also has the oldest emerald mind in the world and interesting Bedouin villages.
Wadi el Hitan National Park

This national park is located close to Giza. Wado el Hitan National Park is almong the best-known parks in Egypt. This is a great place to see desert landscapes. The park is also kn own as "Whale Valley" because of the many whale fossils found here. In 2005 it was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Within the park are 15 species of desert plants, dunes, and wild mammals such as the Egyptian wolf, the red fox, the Egyptian mongoose, the African wildcat, and the Dorcas gazelle. If you're camping here you might see the Fennec foxes that visit the camps at night.
Wadi el Rayan National Park

The national park is located in Fayoum City, not far from Cairo. Wadi el Rayan Natinal Park is home to the largest waterfalls in Egypt. You can take a refreshing swim in the waterfalls. The landscape has impressive desert dunes.

Within the parks are hot spings. You can see many migratory birds, reptiles and three types of gazelles that are unique to Wadi el Rayan among them the endangered slender-horned gazelle.

From ancient times there remain marine fossils and archaeological remains. You'll find the beautiful acacia trees here which are famous for the gum extracted from them.
