European Series - The Opener of the "Marine Civilization" in the Mediterranean - the Cretans
Clearly, no matter what your purpose is to travel between Greece and Egypt, Crete is the perfect springboard. Such a springboard is even more important for ocean pioneers who mainly rely on human-driven ships. If Crete is limited in size, then all it can provide is probably just a trade transit point. However, as the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean Sea (more than 8,000 square kilometers), such a volume was enough to support the existence of a city-state in ancient times.

Europe Series - The Geographical Relations of Three Civilizations in the Mediterranean
It is a recognized fact that European civilization originated in Greece. How to Listen to the Stars
Nobody can hear a scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I have personally come to the realization that this statement holds some truth, but also some falsity. True, we can hear no screams out there… I only know this because I was one of those voices at one point in time. Though screams cannot be heard in space, what we call "space" is not quite a vacuum. It is not quite empty, but rather it is very full. It is beyond vast and it is saturated with wonderful beings, entities, forces, and the dark matter that created it all. Our very own vessel, the human being, is one of those wondrous creations. This fact of life would have never crossed my mind had I not experienced it for myself.

GOLDEN BLOOD
Nobody can hear the scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say. I thought about that as the solar blast was announced and the countdown began. I knew ‘the end’ and my final breath was near. I could feel my throat sink into my stomach and the wind against the sweat of my neck. I would be surprised if anyone felt compelled to scream though, its vibrance and colorful resilience was beyond imagination and our insignificant demise was sparingly sharp. What was supposed to be the end was unknowingly the beginning of life, yet in its simplest form... the beautiful remains of consciousness after nature did its worst and the echos of its destruction.

Radio Time
“Nobody can hear you scream in the vacuum of space, or so they say…” It seemed like a captivating line to begin with, and it caught the attention of the room. You could hear a pin drop. Dr Palin had been planning on addressing the administration at NASA HQ in order to get funding to further study his recent discovery. Now as the room filled with laughter it seemed unlikely.
