There are moments in life that shake you to your core—that force you to be present, to move with intention, and to tap into a level of focus you didn’t know you had. For me, one of those moments happened when Gracie and I were literally chased by two bear cubs… and their mama.

Yes, you read that right. G and I had a full-on bear chase.

We were out in nature, minding our own business, when suddenly—boom—a bear cubs decided we were interesting. But here’s the thing about baby bears: where there are cubs, there is always a very protective mama bear close by. And let me tell you, she was NOT thrilled to share space.

I ran. Hard. Heart pounding, adrenaline pumping, pure survival mode. And then—because life loves a dramatic plot twist—I fell. Flat on my face. And that’s when I sensed it. A tiny (but strong) bear paw reaching for me.

Cue Gracie, my fearless protector. She BIT the cub’s foot. Yes, my little warrior dog went full hero mode and saved our lives. The cub yelped, mama bear stopped in her tracks to attend to her baby and we got the heck out of there.

The Quality of a Moment

That chase, that fall, that moment—it was terrifying. But it also showed me something powerful: the quality of a moment is defined by how present you are in it.

When fear grips you, you have a choice: freeze, panic, or transform it into something greater. And in that moment, I learned just how much power lies in being intentional, being focused, and acting with purpose.

From Fear to Focus, to Fun, to Freedom

The bear chase could have left me traumatized, stuck in fear. But instead, I’m using that moment as fuel:

🔥 Fear → Focus – I’ve never been more clear on my vision for my future. That same laser-focused energy I had while running for my life? I’m channeling it into multifamily real estate, into building something meaningful, something that lasts.

🔥 Focus → Fun – If I can survive being chased by bears, I can survive anything. Now, I approach life and business with more lightness, more playfulness, more joy—because why not make this adventure fun?

🔥 Fun → Freedom – This isn’t just about real estate. It’s about creating a life of freedom—financial freedom, time freedom, and the ability to say yes to the things that truly matter.

Pray More, Fear Less

You better believe that after that chase, I started praying more. Harder. With more gratitude. Because life is fragile. Every moment is a gift. And I refuse to take it for granted.

This bear chase? Just one more reason I’m stepping into the next level of my life with intention and discipline.
