Jaws
A quiet evening at the beach, the soft lapping of water on the shore, an ominous, Pavlovian tinkle of a bell on a buoy, two repetitious tuba notes signaling ill portent, the dark presence of something stirring in the water, just below the surface, it wants to eat you, NOW!

Cowabunga Dude!
Raphael, Leonardo, Donatello, and Michelangelo are back in a retro, blast-from-the-past claymation styled coming of age story. With the voice talents of Jackie chan, Seth Rogan, John Cena, and Ice Cube the turtles are out to stop a Superfly from taking over the city and wreaking havoc on human beings.

The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride
Widely considered Disney's best sequel for good reason! The animation looks great for its budget. Lackluster songs, but an excellent voice cast. Standouts are Jason Marsden's Kovu and Suzanne Pleshette as Zira, one of Disney's scariest villains.

Oppenheimer (2023, dir. Christopher Nolan)
Everybody sucked & the plot hinged on manufactured drama with RDJ’s character. Oppenheimer knew what he was doing & I have no sympathy for his guilt. “I am become Death…” Hubris cannot simultaneously be punished & celebrated.

Unforgiving- Alien Weaponry
I hate to admit that the first time I heard Unforgiving was in concert. The first time was surreal, as I stood next to my brother, who I nearly lost the previous year. Little did I know a year later, this would be my comfort song when my grandmother passed.
