So Ted Lasso

An Unexpectedly (for me) Great TV Series

Ted Lasso - Heroes And Villains

Introduction

If you want to find out what other Vocal Creators think of Ted Lasso, here are about forty stories featuring Ted and associates.

I think my friend Julie said I should watch this, but though I like football and support Preston North End, a second-rate American "Football" coach coming to coach a real football club did not pique my interest one iota.

So What Happened With Ted Lasso For Me?

I was looking for something easy to watch and Apple TV kept suggesting Ted Lasso, and eventually I gave in.

It was a little slow at first, but it gradually got hold of me. The initial premise is that the angry wife, Rebecca Welton, wants to destroy her husband's (Rupert Mannion) pride and joy, his Premiership Football Club, so she sacks the manager and brings in a replacement who doesn't have a clue.

The show has some very high-quality actors and stellar cameos (well, stellar for me, Jeff Stelling, Chris Kamara, Gary Lineker, and Thierry Henry, to great comic effect).

I am on series three, and Ted still can't coach, but his motivational skills are brilliant. Jason Sudeikis is excellent and is the producer on later shows.

I am not going to say too much about the show, but I think everyone can enjoy it. I went into it very apprehensively.

It has lots of great comedy, some sadness, some sentimentality, good characters turning bad, bad characters turning good, bad characters staying bad and getting worse, and some good characters who are just good.

AFC Richmond is a fictional Premier League club that suffers the trauma of relegation, the joy of beating a Premier League club in an FA Cup match, and the trauma of getting thrashed by Manchester City in their next FA Cup match, followed by the joy of promotion back to the Premier League.

Conclusion

I would suggest you give this a try; it has become a definite favourite of mine.

Thank you so much for reading.

Mike, I'm so glad you've given it a try and liked it! This is my absolute most favorite TV show and a lot of times when I feel down I just go and watch some pick-me-up episode from it, and there are so many. Thanks for including my three stories in the collage as well. I can't wait to Season 4 and am so happy that they are shooting it already!

Looking for something easy to watch. That's something we can all relate to. Sometimes there's just too much being thrown at us. You're on series three, you do seem to be really enjoying it. Wow! This one seems to have a lot of variety. A lot of things we can learn from it seems. Thank you so much for recommending this. I cannot promise 100% that I would watch it. But it is along the lines of what me and my husband prefer. Something with substance. A bonus if it has a bit of humour. 🤗❤️
