I believe I have had written a critique on this novel entitled 'Once an Outlaw' written by Jill Gregory. It is the story of Emily Spoon and Clint Barclay and their many misunderstandings of what a relationship really means. To me the story is one of family and community and how Lonesome, the name of the town Emily and her family moved to and how one figures out how to fit in even though you are from the other side of the tracks. Jill Gregory has a good grasp of what a good historical romance is all about for the characters are well-developed and the reader will feel for the characters and what happens to them throughout the story.
