Murderbot
A Rather Excellent Comic Sci-Fi On Apple TV

Introduction
I was looking for something else, easy to watch and saw this on AppleTV+. It has a Skarsgård, so that is a huge recommendation for me.
This is what they say
In a high-tech future, a rogue security robot (Alexander Skarsgård) secretly gains free will. To stay hidden, it reluctantly joins a new mission protecting scientists on a dangerous planet…even though it just wants to binge soap operas.
This Is What I Say
I am often unsure of a lot of sci-fi and fantasy, as sometimes they go over my head or are all look and no substance. I didn't really like the name "Murderbot" but it had a Skarsgård, so I thought I would dip into the trailer.
That sold it to me.
The trailer gives you all you need to know about it. The android (SecUnit) hacks its own operating system and spends its time watching TV, and may or may not have been responsible for a massacre at some point.
The SecUnit (Murderbot) thinks almost all humans are idiots but still has to obey them, sort of.
The various asides Skarsgård comes out with are brilliant and funny.
There's only ten 25 minute episodes and new ones drop each Friday, and I just finished episode three and am looking forward to episode four this weekend.
If you have it on one of your channels give it a go.

I'm definitely putting this on my watch list! Thanks for the recommendation!
Don't have it, but it sounds fun.
Ok, will check it out on Netflix too. We're facing a future of bots....time to get to know them better!
I'm with you on sci-fi being hit or miss. This "Murderbot" sounds interesting. The idea of a rogue robot hacking its system and having a complex relationship with humans is cool. I like how it has a sense of humor. With only ten short episodes, it's easy to binge. Have you noticed any nods to other sci-fi concepts in the show?
Hahahahahah the synopsis sure does seem fun
