Medusa on Netflix Review: A Soapy, Suspenseful Guilty Pleasure
After watching yet another American show on Netflix, I decided to switch things up and try an international series, which led me to binge Medusa (2025) over the weekend. This 12-episode drama-thriller, created by Said Chamie and Claudia Sánchez and directed by Felipe Cano and María Gamboa, blends the over-the-top emotions of a telenovela with the suspense of a thriller. The result is a mixed bag—sometimes gripping, sometimes uneven—but undeniably addictive.

The Cost of Character
For the sake of all those involved, either personal or extra personal, names of this tale must remain masked in anonymity. At the tender age of ten, I was swept up in the desire to become a writer. I have always loved the study of english as a language. I feel a true rush of pleasure when I can hear words practially sing off a page. I can see life form from blankness. The only limit a writer has on what they can bring to life on a page, is their own imagination.

Editing Isn't Fun
When I relit my creative candle, I knew that one of the most dreaded steps in being a writer and content creator (I have recently learned that being a content creator does not include being a writer) was going to be editing. Typically, when I edit my work, it includes approximately an hour of self-hate and intense criticism, so much so that the actual editing process doesn’t start until at least the two-hour mark of my dedicated editing time. This, however, only becomes true if I even get to the two-hour mark of editing. Now that I am a slightly more experienced writer, I can make very small edits on the fly when I’m writing, even when I’m experiencing a writer’s high. Eight years ago, when I was beginning to find a voice and style that I could seriously narrow on, I was still in the experimental stage of finding who I am as a writer. The following is an excerpt from a vocal challenge four years ago:

My own worst Art Critique
I have to be honest—- Critique is one of the most challenges that I have to try to keep tackle it. For years, I have always been my own worst credit or worst critique- no matter what creativity I was doing especially during my school life and even after graduation. I also couldn’t go to the art school or art college at all— it was quite expensive and other reasons (its very complicated to share). I thought I wasn’t going to be succeed anything due from my mental health, my conditions—my learning issues, mixed language disorder, and mixed development delayed since childhood. I always like making stories like imagination and be creative as an illustrator(my dream career), same thing when I want to be an artist. I have also been struggled if I am talented enough or not even quite at all…

Writing on Medium
A few years ago, before I started reading and writing on Vocal.com I was, and still have an account on Medium.com even though I haven't written there very much since writing here. On that site I posted very short works and writing ideas, and if I remember there is also some of my artwork. To be honest I did receive some views for my work, but not many. After several months to almost a year I started to write for other sites for there was one named personapaper.com based out of England now. It was a paying site till the owners decided to sell or would another word be better like sellout. It was a fun site to write for though.

Are Ukrainians prepared for concessions and a ceasefire? What the polls say is as follows:
The idea of a negotiated end to the three-year war has been put on the agenda and in the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin thanks to an agreement between the United States and Ukraine on a ceasefire proposal. However, the parties' positions are pretty clear even before Moscow responds.

Self-Editing Epiphany. Top Story - March 2025.
Like any challenge I first read the description of what the challenge is about and what the judges are asking from us as creative writers. So in this challenge "Self-Editing Epiphany they ask us to share an excerpt that I would consider both imperfect and brimming with potential! Immediately I thought of the story I shared in the "Unreliable" Challenge. This challenge asked us to write a story from the perspective of an unreliable narrator.
