If I Were To Publish An Exclusive Story
A Nine Minute Drabble
If I did, would you pay two dollars and ninety-nine cents to read my story? If you are Vocal+, you are already paying to read my work, and if you are not Vocal+, you have other, more pressing financial obligations.
To me, exclusive stories are a no-go. It just stops people from reading your work, although if you can tempt a subscriber, then that makes it financially viable.
Most people won't even read my work for nothing, so making it exclusive would make sure that it never gets read.
My work is just exclusively for anyone who wants to read it.

Stranger Things 5: A Train Wreck of Lazy Writing and Brand Blunders When Stranger Things first dropped in 2016, it was a masterpiece of atmosphere and tight storytelling. It felt like a love letter to the 80s. Fast forward to Season 5, and that love letter has been shredded. What we got instead was a bloated, nonsensical mess that felt like the creators were just checking boxes to get it over with. It wasn't just a disappointment; it was a total collapse of the logic and stakes that made us care about Hawkins in the first place.

Yeah I don't really get the point of exclusive stories. I like writing my stuff because people like reading it. It kind of feels wrong to charge them for something that I had so much fun writing x
Exclusive stories are a no-go for me, too, Mike. I am simply thankful for the reads I get, and although not a lot compared to other Vocal creators, I am okay with it.
I would if I could afford Vocal+ and would be willing to read exclusive stories.
I suspect the only people acquiring exclusive paid subscriptions reside on Onlyfans, not Vocal ๐
I can't afford to pay to read exclusive stories. Heck I can't even afford V+ lol.
Love this! I've felt the same. As much as I'd love to be supportive and pay for subscriptions, I just can't afford anything more! I'd love to tempt a subscriber, but I also feel like that would put pressure on me to think of exclusive stories, so maybe I'm ok without paid subscribers lol.
