Richard Jimenez May 12, 2012. Illinois' Burbank. At Chicago's City Hall, there is a strong sense of affection. Estrella Carrera, 24, and Arnoldo Jimenez, 30, a newlywed couple, had just looked into one other's eyes and vowed to love and cherish one another until death separates them. Which took place a few hours later when Carrera was stabbed and dumped in a bathtub while still donning the evening dress with silver sequins that she had worn to the wedding. Although spouses have been killing each other since the establishment of holy matrimony, it is extremely uncommon for a murder to occur during the first few hours of a marriage. Who among maniacs would carry out such a deed? Early indications suggested Jimenez might be capable of murder. He was believed to be possessive of Carrera and towered over her at six feet tall and more than 200 pounds. They had a two-year-old boy together, and Carrera had an eight-year-old daughter from a previous union who was a straight-A student at her Southwest Side school in Chicago.
One of Carrera's friends claimed that Jimenez had threatened to kidnap both of her children, which is why the wedding was hurried and understated. The friend told the media, "She was really scared, and that was the last time I talked to her." The couple didn't want to invite many people to the ceremony, but they had planned to celebrate by taking some of their friends to a Mexican restaurant before continuing on to a nightclub. We are unaware of what took place next. The couple was last spotted at 4 am, as far as we know. After having a "bad fight" with his new wife, Jimenez called his sister and informed her of the incident. After that altercation, he rose to the position of 522nd wanted fugitive since 1950 on the FBI's Most Wanted list. Later, Carrera's body was discovered in her bathtub, her gorgeous dress bloodied and with stab marks all over her body. Police quickly reported that Jimenez, the suspect, had driven a 2006 Maserati with the Illinois licence plate L64144 when he was last seen. A background check revealed that he had previously been detained for domestic violence, albeit in another state and involving a different woman. Although the whereabouts of the suspect are unknown, it is assumed that he may have gone to Mexico's Durango state, likely to the Santiago Papasquiaro region. It's possible that Jimenez travelled to Reynosa, Tamaulipas, in Mexico. We are aware that his phone was followed from Chicago through Tennessee to Arkansas. It was last used in 2012 in Hidalgo, Texas, which is close to the Mexican border. Cook County charges Jimenez with first-degree murder as well as federal accusations of unauthorised flight to evade prosecution. As with all of the individuals you'll learn about today, if you can assist, call 1-800-CALL-FBI or, if you're not in the US, get in touch with the American consulate in your area. The following crime is particularly terrible. July 29, 2000, Alexis Flores. Iriana DeJesus, 5, and her sister were playing in the garden of their home in North Philadelphia's Hunting Park district. Iriana was last seen strolling down the street with a male when it's difficult to say what happened after that. She was asking her mother where her daughter had gone and who this man was when she frantically ran out of the house. The mother's worst nightmare came true on the third day after three days of intensive searching by the police and others of the community. Iriana was discovered dead, her body placed inside a trash bag beneath some carpet rolls. She had been choked. Notably, a bleeding t-shirt with a distinctive political insignia was laying close and could not be missed. A local man came forward and claimed to be familiar with the clothing. He had leased it to Carlos, a destitute man. He had sympathy for him and had given him some clothes and odd duties to complete. In truth, Carlos was a man by the name of Alexis. However, the authorities were in the dark about what monster had done this heinous crime for a lengthy seven years. We should clarify something before we tell you more about this man. Why do some fugitives appear on the FBI's Most Wanted list and others do not, despite the fact that terrible crimes occur frequently in the US? As of January 2023, there were 529 fugitives added to the list; impressively, 93 percent of them have been apprehended, with 31% being apprehended specifically as a result of public assistance.
