Never Ending Night

The soft smooth sand ran through my feet as I walked along the shore. The water, glistening and glowing with life, slowly started to turn bright shades of pink, red, and orange as the sun melted into the horizon. I sat down, trying to take in every little bit of the moment. The water ripped gently as it held out its hand to touch the shore. I smiled, as the cool breeze fit my face. I never wanted this to end. My life was perfect….

I sighed deeply as I looked at my phone. “6:38, how long is this guy gonna take,” I thought feeling a little annoyed. I flinched when a loud “Bing!” came from my phone. It was Jungkook, and he texted “Hey, sorry I’m late can we meet near the small café on the broad walk instead?"

“of course, I’ll be right there!” I texted back. Not wasting an time, I jumped up on my feet. I was practically dying with excitement and I could feel my soul glowing inside. As I stopped to take a breath, a colorful pink banner caught my eye. “The Blessed Beans buy one get one free October sale has arrived!” I stood up straight and leaned back on the railing beside me. I was here. About an hour passed and there was still no sign of him, I stared at the moon projecting bright sparkling lights as it guided the waves to the shore.

I was to emerged in the moment to notice that someone was behind me and that’s when the moons light was erased and all I could see was pure black.

My head was pounding and I struggled to open my eyes. I could the soft whispers of people talking, and strangely enough, they sounded familiar. The moment I opened my eyes, a bright light was flung into face. “W-What? What’s happening?” I stuttered. I could feel my heart pounding in my chest as a guy in a black mask got closer and closer to me. He took off his mask revealing his face, and to my utter shock, it was Jungkook! I gasped looking into his dark brown eyes. “How could be so stupid? Talking to a random stranger from a game and then agreeing to meet them in real life? I was honestly surprised you came so far!” he said smiling evily.

I was so shocked that I couldn’t even move. I felt so betrayed and dumb that I had trusted this stranger with all my most painful secrets and let him know about everything that happened in my life thinking that he understood me like no one else. A single tear from my eyes. I sat there, my head filled with thoughts of things they could do to me.

They were about to say something, when suddenly, a worried looking man barged in through the door panting franticly. He looked up at me with his warm brown eyes, and for a moment I was lost in them. I flinched when Jungkook started speaking. “Ugh! He totally ruined my vibe!” I thought.

“Well, well well look who decided to show up after all this time. We really do miss having you around Taehyung, you know you could always come back. It would the perfect timing too! We’ve got our little victim right here.” he said, pointing at me. This was perfect! I thought. Now he’s gonna come and save me and we’ll all live happily ever after! So imagine how surprised I was when he said, “Of course! I’ll join back right now!” A couple of the men looked shocked, but the others just went and hugged him. After a lot of thinking and self-talk, I decided to speak, “I’m here too you know! So can you guys just get with it. Being tied to a chair isn’t really my opinion of comfortable.” They all stared at me because of my sudden outburst. I gulped, instantly regretting my decision. Jungkook was about to shout, but the guy- who was mentioned as Taehyung- patted Jungkook’s shoulder came closer, and started untying me. I was confused for a second, but smiled when he whispered, “I’ll get you out of here, don’t worry.”

“ Hey Jungkook, why don’t you go check if anyone’s watching us, I’ll deal with her.” He said smiling at him sweetly. Jungkook nodded as he got out and all the other men followed. Taehyung instantly got up and locked the door, letting out a deep sigh.

He looked at me smiled and said “Lets get out of here.” With that, he took my hand and we went out the back door. We ran, and ran, and ran, until the broad walk couldn’t be seen any more. When I saw the sand, I practically collapsed onto it, not caring that my cloths would get covered with sand. He collapsed be side me and we both burst out laughing.
