What Happened To 5-Year-Old Summer Wells?. Content Warning.
On June 15, 2021, Don Wells called the Hawkins County Sheriff’s Office to report that their 5-year-old daughter, Summer, had gone missing. Candus Bly and Don Wells described their daughter as being four feet tall, with blond hair, wearing a pink shirt and gray pants. Sheriff Lawson made a late-night announcement that prompted a large ground search for the missing girl. The next day, the search for Summer commenced, with the captain of the Church Hill Rescue Squad, Tim Coup, saying, “with the steep and dangerous terrain, we’re also experiencing very dense canopy coverage, including very dense ground cover causing search efforts to be very difficult.”

The Karen Read murder trial is back in the headlines, following a mistrial on Monday, which pleased Read's supporters and shook the hearts of those supporting justice for Officer O'Keefe. Read anxiously awaited her fate following a 27-hour deliberation in Norfolk Superior Court in Dedham, Massachusetts. Karen Read is accused of killing her then-boyfriend, Officer John O'Keefe, a Boston Police Officer, when she allegedly ran him over with her car, killing him. Authorities have stated that Read continues to deny any involvement with O'Keefe's death, stating that he was attending a house party with fellow Law Enforcement Officers at the time of his death.

It's June 9, 1995, in Alma, Arkansas. Six-year-old Morgan Nick is playing with her friends at the baseball diamond during her brother’s Little League game. Her mother, Colleen Nick, checks on her and everything seems fine. But when she checks again, Morgan is gone. Authorities are called, and they search the area, but there are no signs of Morgan. In 2008, Colleen Nick recalls, “I remember standing outside the fire station on the fourth day, and someone saying, ‘It’s only been four days.' I thought that was helpful at the time." Twenty-nine years have passed since Morgan disappeared. Authorities have collected tips, followed leads, released age-progressed photos of Morgan, and searched several properties. Colleen Nick has never lost hope of finding her daughter, saying, “I’ve always said that until someone can prove to me that Morgan is not coming home, I believe she will.”
