Dr. Snuff
Shannon was casually surfing the internet concealed by the darkness of night merged with the blackness of the small study in her apartment, with her laptop providing her only but sufficient light source, giving a bluish hew. While others slept soundly for another day at the office, she was intently on the prowl in the cyber world. While this is seen as a normal occurrence not just in the United States but worldwide, Shannon was shopping, but not for a pair of high heeled cork wedges or the latest Eat This Not That dietary guide, but something so illegal, that even surfing this obscure explorer in of itself was potentially felonious...she was browsing a list of assassins for hire on the devil’s internet: the dark web.

Review of 'Making a Murderer' 2
My wife and I binge-watched the second season of Making a Murderer on Netflix the past few evenings. In an America brought to new levels of injustice and anger and despair courtesy of Trump, and commitment to vote him and his Republicans out of office as soon as possible, the story of what happened to Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey provides yet another totally separate example of the decline and miscarriage of justice in America, in this case due to police, prosecutors, and judges, including the U. S. Supreme Court.

Charles' Fatality
Charles was wandering about the lonely stretch of highway where only a passerby, big rig, or the occasional Greyhound showed up once every few hours. The entire surrounding was quite off-putting, as there wasn't a single highway patrolman in the vicinity, nor was there a nearby truck stop, gas station, or diner as well as the nearest town was over eighty miles away, and it was so sleepy and quaint that the Amish would call it home. Therefore, if the shit were to hit the fan-whether it be a crash, a medical emergency, car trouble, or any number of possible fates, you were far passed screwed.

Generational Curse
Clickety clack, heavy rain drops tap and splat against window panes, trash cans, and wherever else they designate to land. In apartment 862 the smell of fried Tilapia lingers. The freshly squeezed lemons do little to extinguish the strong scent. MOTHER SHADIYA is old fashioned, especially when it comes to cleaning and family gatherings. This afternoon, the Davis Family members are really in good spirits.

Pitt Takes a Stand Against Domestic Violence
This time last year, Pitt student Alina Sheykhet returned home from work, had a chat with her roommate, and went to sleep. The next morning, she did not wake up. She did not get a chance to see her future. Her ex boyfriend, Matthew Darby, broke into her home in the middle of the night and beat her to death.

10 Facts About Jonestown You Didn't Know
Prior to 9/11, the Jonestown Massacre was the largest massive loss of American lives in United States history. The massacre, which was led by cult leader Jim Jones, led over 900 men, women, and children to their deaths. (This made Charles Manson's mass murders look like child's play.)

I Will Never Be Loved Again
If you were to tell me that one day I would be living in the woods, I would have laughed in your face and told you to piss off. I'm a city girl, who is more accustomed to spending long weekends at the mall or the movies with my friends, listening to My Chemical Romance and Green Day on end, and occasionally, helping myself to my parent's liquor cabinet while they were out of town visiting my grandma. Of course, when they came home to find me hurling over the commode and found out that it wasn't mere tummy troubles, I caught some serious hell. As a result, I was averted from ever laying hands on the Jack Daniels or Bacardi ever again. Well, that's neither here nor there, the point is that I was a typical suburban teenager seeking anything to offset the boring, vanilla redundancy which seems to infect mostly white dominant neighborhoods.

Jeffery Dahmer
This man is straight out of anyone’s worst nightmares. However, movies and books you read on this man our reality. His crimes make even some of the world's scariest criminals cringe. Newspapers and new channels would dub this serial killer as the “Milwaukee Cannibal,” an American serial killer and sex offender. Dahmer raped, murdered, and dismembered seventeen men and boys over a thirteen year killing spree. He would begin killing in 1978 and wouldn’t stop until his capture in 1991.

Target Hardening: An Effective Approach to Terrorism Prevention? The Case of Manchester Arena
Although target hardening is considered a "tried and tested" means of crime prevention by Criminologists, who have seen it used to tackle crimes including household burglary and shoplifting in the past; is there a chance that by expanding the perimeter of protected targets, we are simultaneously exposing more people to the threat? Will terrorist organisations simply shrug their shoulders and walk away from terrorism as a means of achieving their aims? Or, is the more likely outcome that potential terrorists will seek ways to adapt, bringing about attacks which are infinitely more deadly, or targeting the very cyber infrastructure on which our nation is built? This article will argue that although target hardening is generally deemed to have been successful in preventing attacks on high profile locations such as airports, this is merely the calm before the storm: terrorist organisations will find new ways to disrupt, damage, and wreak havoc. Staying abreast of new and emerging research on target selection will be pivotal to ensuring our preparedness for what is to come, and we would be foolish to think that by banishing terrorism from high-profile locations, we will not, effectively, bring it closer to home.
