Don’t Think
The gunshot rings out from behind me, my instincts pushing me to the ground. The woman I was just sitting with before lays slumped at the table with redness staining the white tablecloth below her. Rolling to the left I feel the wind from another bullet whiz by my head as the tile shatters into thousands of pieces where my head had just been. Reaching into my suit jacket my hand finds the holstered 1911 under my armpit. Drawing the heavy gun I begin to sprint as another bullet breaks a glass that had been full of thick, red merlot; covering me in the red substance which causes me to slip on the tile.

A Breathing Nightmare
A Breathing Nightmare (This is not my story to tell, but I’ll do my best, people need to know) I never bring my phone to bed, for any call in the middle of the night just plain sucks. No one has ever called me at 2:00 AM to tell me I’ve won the Publishers Clearinghouse Sweepstakes, nah, bringing the phone to bed is begging for trouble.

Ancient Warfare and Riot Tactics
It might be hard to believe but 21st century riot tactics have a lot more in common with ancient and medieval warfare than you’d first think. A lot of the formations and tactics used today are adapted from ones first developed centuries, or even millennia, ago.
