Ghana's 3 conflict areas are not getting any attention, to make things worse Ghana media is hiding the news of the violence in their 3 conflict areas. With kidnappings also on the rise there was a shooting Kumasi, Ghana.

As I've recently made a post about Ghanaians insulting a woman who had gone missing and was found. Many in the Ghana housing group where the missing young woman was posted decided to call her a "whore" with several claiming she ran off to have sex with her boyfriend. Sadly the kidnappings in 2023-2024 have been on the rise, pretty much like they were in 2019 prior to the elections.

There is a page on Facebook where people were once sharing their missing family members, however one Ghana housing group has over 60,000 followers so its being used to share missing photos. I just wrote about how dozens of Ghanaians started insulting the missing woman, then demanded to know where she was.

The missing people are piling up and this is possibly due to the upcoming 2024 elections in the country.

Addressing the alarming rate of kidnappings and abductions in Ghana: Urgent call to action

In recent weeks, Ghana has witnessed a deeply troubling surge in kidnappings, with children being the most vulnerable targets. This disturbing trend threatens the very fabric of our society, causing fear, panic, and insecurity among families and communities. As concerned citizens, it is important to charge everyone to get involved in protecting ourselves, children, and loved ones.

The Ministry of National Security and the Inspector General of Police must prioritize this issue and take immediate action, since the Takoradi incident is still fresh in our minds. The government must allocate resources and implement effective measures to combat this ugly menace. Strengthening our security architecture, increasing police presence in high-risk areas, and investing in advanced surveillance technologies are essential steps to deter and respond to kidnappings and abductions swiftly, in this fast-growing technological and digital age.

Additionally, the security agencies must intensify their efforts in investigating these heinous crimes. It is imperative that law enforcement personnel receive specialized training to handle kidnapping cases with utmost efficiency. Alliance with international organizations can also provide valuable insights and support in tackling abductions and kidnappings.

Ghana's government is so desperate to make sure citizens and travelers don't get news of this violence in the country.

With 80% of the media owned and operated by political leaders the lie of Ghana being peaceful must always be kept formost.

Kind of like the old Jaws movies, can't let tourists, investors and citizens know just how much danger is lurking. On a Ghana Embassy page the government lists Ghana as the second most peaceful country in Africa.

In early 2024 there was an article where Ghanaians were seeking assistance from the government.

Security analyst Colonel Festus Aboagye (Rtd) has urged the executive arm of the government to enforce the law to resolve the Bawku conflict.

He stated that the Supreme Court and the Upper East House of Chiefs have already clarified their stance on the dispute.

The resolution now lies in the hands of the executive to enforce the law.

The call for action follows a brutal attack in Binduri, Upper East region, where five people were killed by unknown assailants.

On Tuesday, 2nd July 2024, a fetish priest, Osman Majeed allegedly shot dead three persons who he accused of attacking him.

The suspect Osman Majeed went into hiding after the incident and is still at large. In an alleged reprisal attack, some unknown persons have set the house of the suspect ablaze. The assemblyman for Barniekrom electoral area, Kingsley Asare who confirmed the incident to Channel One News noted that although calm has been restored in the area, they want the police to keep patrolling the area to maintain the situation.

“The chief informed me that information reaching him indicates that the residence of Komfo Osman has been burnt. That was yesterday in the morning. So I did organise my unit committee members to go to the place to confirm the incident.

“So upon getting there, we saw one of the buildings belonging to Osman burnt. Yes, we have officially reported the incident to the police. Though the community has returned to normal, I still believe the security services will continue monitoring the situation at Barniekrom.”

Ghana's VP Dr. Bawumia has promised that he is going to make a place in his government for the chiefs of Ghana. Another issue that will make more room for tribal infighting. With issues of government mixed with cultrual practices the Ghana police also ignored the recent viral child marriage between a 12-year old child and a 63-year old man.
