Last Night I Had A Dream .... A Very Weird Dream
From A Seven Days In Post From 2014

Introduction
The image is from my Pixabay site here:
Every so often I see posts on my Seven Days In blog getting a lot of attention, probably just from robots, but if they are worth sharing on Vocal I share them here.
This is a description of a dream that I actually partially remembered, but be warned it is weird and makes virtually no sense. I am going to post it in Vocal's Confessions community but there is no surreal option there.
In the Half Man Half Biscuit song "San Antonio Foam Party" from the "Cammell Laird Social Club" album, Nigel Blackwell states, and I agree:
Your weird dreams
Don’t impress in any way
In dreams
Weird things are mundane and everyday
Strange to me would be
Buying a loaf
And coming straight home
So here is the actual Seven Days In posts complete with the Happy Mondays' "Step On" video (though I still prefer the John Kongos original)
Last Night I Had A Dream .... A Very Weird Dream
..and I've woken up exhausted. This was a real dream in which nothing made any real sense while also being vaguely familiar. I'm sure a psychologist would have a field day with it, but there's nothing major in it, just a lot of weird juxtapositions. Here goes:
I'm at a skating rink or bowling alley meeting up to go to a Syd Barrett (original leader of Pink Floyd) concert (he's long dead and only die-hard fans would attend). When we get to the venue, a small theatre I meet up with Chris from work (who is getting married in a couple of weeks and I'm with my daughters and a few other friends. Syd Barrett comes on stage, which is at the same level as the stalls, but he's obviously out of it so I get up, hold him up, and I sing the first song for him before he's taken away and a tribute concert then takes place.
After the gig we wondered about going for a meal, there are two Mexican / Indian Wetherspoons pubs and restaurants, one called the "Droopy Bell" with a logo of a Bell Pepper. We decided on the other restaurant and at this moment are in an area reminiscent of Newcastle's Haymarket. , coming out of roughly where Boots is now (may we'd been to Sergeant Peppers, but the "Bell Pepper" was where the Metro Station is. We decided on the other restaurant
On the way, I'm then with a friend who's a pub owner who needs to order some replacement aluminium beer kegs, so while he's doing that I decide to let people know by phoning them. My phone is out of charge, so I look in my satchel and find an iPhone and wonder what that is doing there....
Then I woke up and thought what the hell was that?
I hope it's kept you entertained, and I have another post to do tonight but I need to get off to work. Have a great day everyone and hope I haven't twisted your melons!
By the way, all the drugs I take are purely medicinal, honestly. And my next blog post will be number 700!
Conclusion
If you have made it to here I hope I have not disturbed you too much, but I suppose that is the nature of dreams. Most of the time when I wake there is not enough to actually piece together a story but that is the nature of life.
I do love most of my dreams and sometimes don't want them to end, but if they didn't I would miss speaking to my wonderful friends, and that is something I never want to miss.

Don't worry, my melons probably needed twisting. And this was an interesting, fun way of doing that. Thanks for sharing, Mike.
My favorite line, and it is a gem “he’s long dead and only die-hard fans would attend” This is high level genius
Lol, this was so bizarre and funny! I enjoyed reading this!
Anyway, good story about a very interesting dream.
I would be really excited to reach into my satchel and find an iPhone. I might be a little upset to find out it was just a dream. I guess this old android will have to do for now.
I was waiting for Syd to shoe up at the restaurant, but then you had to ruin it by waking up. 🤣
