THE NATURE-GIFTED CHILD
This is me, krithika the author of this book. This is a magical and emotional story. The story's name is the nature-gifted child. Once upon a time, there was a girl named Kay. She was such a brilliant girl. She lived in the city and loved music a lot. Furthermore, she is constantly engaged with music and books and doesn't leave anywhere without those things. She is the topper of her class and has a lot of friends. One evening, Kay went to a nearby coffee shop after school hours. She ordered a cup of tea, and as she looked outside the window sill, she saw a blue ball floating in the sky with a glowing yellow border around it. Kay was shocked. She wanted to confirm what she saw, so Kay pinched herself, and she even went out and called other people in the cafeteria and asked them if that ball was visible to them.Everybody said that the ball was not visible to them. Kay tried to show the ball, but nobody could see it. Everybody thought Kay was crazy and went back to their work. Kay became shocked and stood still in horror. She tried to take a picture to show it to her classmates the next day. But when she opened her camera, the ball was not visible in the camera too. Kay was so shocked, and she got so scared. The ball was only visible to her eyes. Kay took her belongings and made her way back home. When she went out of the cafeteria, she saw something else rare. Kay saw her foot traces glowing in blue colour. She was so scared. She ran home as fast as she could. Kay immediately called her best friends, Lina and Cindy, to inform them about what she saw in the cafeteria. But Lina and Cindy were very busy with their homework, so they told Kay they would talk with her in school. Kay kept thinking about the glowing ball and the foot traces. She even started to google about those things, but what Kay saw was terrifying. The next day in school, Kay went to her classroom and sat still thinking about what happened yesterday. She waited for Lina and Cindy to arrive. Everyone stared at her because she had dark circles since she couldn't sleep properly last night thinking about this strange miracle thing. Kay didn't care about what others thought. She couldn't distract herself from what happened to her yesterday. She waited and waited and finally, the teacher showed up. It seems like Lina and Cindy were absent. Kay was so worried she couldn't concentrate on her classes. During break time of course another miracle happened. As she went to the washroom to wash her hands, she saw herself in the mirror to fix her hair and to her surprise, she saw a green symbol that showed a bow with fire in the arrow. It was like a tattoo that was glowing in her hand and Kay screamed and everyone came running towards her.Kay fell unconsciously, and she was taken to the clinic. When she woke up she saw that the tattoo was gone, and it was normal like it was before. Tomorrow was her birthday and had invited all her friends for her birthday which started at 7:30. She was so excited and today was her birthday, she started decorating her house full of balloons, and it was nature themed because she just loved nature unlike her other friends.Everything was ready and all her friends started to arrive for her birthday party, Kay welcomed them all with a warm hug. Kay was so pretty and everyone wished her well and gave a lot of blessings to her. Kay's friends also attended the party including Linda and Cindy. Linda commented that her party was based on a beautiful theme and the three of them went upstairs to talk.Kay started crying and said all the miracles that happened to her till now. From the ball floating to the blue footprints to the tattoo that appeared in her hand to Linda and Cindy. Linda and Cindy started laughing and said that it was a nice birthday blaster and told Kay to stop making up nonsense stories and wasting their time. Saying this Linda and Cindy left and went downstairs to eat the cake. Kay was left all alone feeling so sad crying at her own birthday party. It was so awful. After the birthday party finished, Kay was still sad, and she suddenly remembered a place where her mom used to take her whenever she was sad when she was young. She thought of going there because she had nothing else to do. So she got ready in boredom and decided to walk there because she remembered her mom always used to say not to take vehicles because they cause pollution. The place her mom used to take her was a beautiful forest. Kay's mom had gone to Canada for business talk and since then Kay stopped going there. She picked up her bag and started walking alone to the forest. As she walked to the entrance, a bulk of dry leaves fell on Kay. A dry silence, with no sound at all only the winds wheezing. Kay continued to walk, and suddenly she felt something in her hand it was the tattoo again, and this time it started to pain a lot. Tears rolled from her eyes and she started screaming '' What did I do? ''.A gust of wind pushed her deeper into the forest and because of the heavy canopy, the forest was dark even though it was afternoon. She was still in shock, and she heard a voice whisper from the depths of the forest. It said --- you are a nature-gifted child. Kay was shocked and said ''what''. The voice continued ''Have you forgotten me?''I am the tree where you and your mom used to sit and spend time together. You have left us and never came back to visit us. The voice of the tree continued ''People came and took many of my friends, and I'm standing here all alone in the depths of the darkness. I gave you a lot of signs hoping you would come help us. I showed a blue footprint leading to the forest, but you ran away. Furthermore, I again tried to signalize you through the tattoo which indicated that we were under attack. The moon-like ball was to get your attention, but you never cared to come visit us''.Kay stuttered and said ''but why me?''.The voice continued '' You are the only one who used to come visit us when you were young''. We knew that you are a nature-gifted child. I don't know whether you remember or not but you and your mother were the ones who planted me and my other friends. You used to talk with us telling random stories and when we were under attack we hoped that you would come to save us. Now I have lost all my close friends I only have you''.Kay bursts into tears, and she hugged the tree saying I will protect you from now and won't let anyone harm nature. I have shared all my memories with you and I shall not forget that. So, guys, we must remember how our life will be without nature and nature has emotions too, and we shall not forget that for one day we might end up with no nature to share memories with.
