Ikon—The Guide to 2018's Hottest Group (Part One)
With NEW KIDS: Continue topping the iTunes charts in 24 countries, a performance at the closing ceremony of the Asia Games and a hit song dubbed "Korea's National Anthem" by fans and casual admirers alike, it's fair to say 2018 has been fruitful for the group by the name of iKON. With a unique and versatile approach to music, the seven members of the group show different colours and styles in all of their releases, and still manage to ensure that each and every song that reaches a listener's ear will be of the very highest quality. They're a group that go against the typical formula your average K-Pop group will follow; and through hard work, talent, and spirit unmatched in today's industry, they now find themselves at the very top of the business that once wrote them off.

In Defense of Bring Me the Horizon
Take a look at the comment section on anything related to Bring Me The Horizon on the internet, and you will find a fanbase at war. On one side is an army of fans who claim to be the "true fans" because they found the band while they were still making deathcore music. They want the world to know how disappointed they are that they sold out. They've gone soft. They make music for 13-year-old girls now (sexism, much?). On the other is a counter protest of fans who stand up for the band, who argue that there's nothing wrong with them changing their sound or aspiring to join rock's heavyweights in arenas, stadiums, or festival main stages.

As an avid music lover, I have compiled my top five artists that you have probably never heard of (or, if you have, don’t hate me because I’m fragile). Perhaps, you may find a new favorite band or a new band to hate (in which case, I do not condone hate, go troll a forum somewhere else you jerk). Either way, I hope you enjoy the top five artists you need to listen to ASAP!

The Current Angels & Airwaves Comeback Is Crucial for Our Political Environment
We haven't heard a lot from Tom DeLonge after his departure with Blink-182 in 2015. He's been a man of mystery, working on his newly founded company To The Stars... Academy of Arts and Science, which is a self proclaimed public benefit corporation that works on the likes of entertainment, science, and art.

How BROCKHAMPTON Moved Past the Loss of Ameer Vann
Earlier this year, allegations of sexual abuse and misconduct were brought up against Ameer Vann, an original member of BROCKHAMPTON. After more details came to light, the group collectively decided to kick Vann out. This was a forceful decision, one that postponed an album, and cancelled a US tour shows for over a month. The boyband had been growing in popularity and had a lot of momentum, and this looked like it would halt it. But here we are, in August, and they’re doing better than ever.

Bands Definitely Worth Checking Out
If you are out running around at the store looking for some music to check out then I have a few bands for you to look into. These bands are worth the time to listen to. I have personally heard them all and liked what I have heard. First up on the list is a band called Widetrack. These guys have some of their music on YouTube, where you can get a little taste of the music that they play. Some of the music runs with a very calming sound while other songs are on the rock side. The vocals in this group are perfect, with a catch to grasp the audience. When you are listening to the music check lyrics, too.
