Maybe one day you’ll wake up and say that it’s not too late… That you’re in a better place now and you’re ready to show up

She saves every fortune But never eats the cookie She smiles at you, especially when you're not looking She wishes on shooting stars
When you’re running to your car in the pouring rain and you get in and laugh Drenched and soggy But completely and utterly happy
I have to apologize. No, not for what I said, those words I stand by. No, for my delivery My rather lengthy delivery in between wallows and sobs with the smell of whiskey still lingering on my breath,
There’s never been a time quite like this Windows down, wind blowing through her golden hair and the sun draped over her like the warmest hug
What do you call it, that time in between? That period that feels simply of empty space The strange unknowing of what comes next
One day you wake up. You wake up to realize your body is no longer your own It is your flesh and your face in the mirror But it's not your hands on your skin or your smile on your lips
You know, its funny… Time. One day youre perfect and everything feels fine Then the next you’re a mess, Curled up in a ball
