She saves every fortune
But never eats the cookie
She smiles at you, especially when you're not looking
She wishes on shooting stars
And fallen eyelashes
She wears her favorite outfit
Even when it clashes
She sings loud and off-key
But can hum a perfect melody
She saves menus and postcards and notes on napkins
keeps them all just so she can look back
And She lives in the moment
Doesn't dwell on the past
She smiles through the pain
Because she knows life moves too fast
She writes poetry for herself
But loves to read them to others
She’s never met a stranger
That's why everyone loves her
Shes kind
And sweet
Just like how she takes her tea
Gets sleepy with caffeine
And gives advice for free
She spends time in other’s shoes
Just for clarity
And when her eyes catch the light they turn the brightest shade of green
She’s someone’s perfect someone
What a shame it wasn’t me.
