The Hermit Sage Flips through page after dusty page He searches the forest green For information he can glean Decades of prolonged study
You could say I’ve made a mistake or two And I’ve apologized till my face turned blue So why is it that I feel Like everyone’s turned to steel
Throw me on the pyre And set me on fire Cause in this life Is nothing but strife Why must it be this way? ‘Why can’t it be easier?’ I ask with dismay
The Hunter in the tree Longs to be free But on the prowl Is a creature with a low growl He laments his situation Hoping he doesn’t succumb to starvation
Should I let you go? It’s really hard to know An influence of bad intent Can leave you a lot to repent What are you fighting for?
Were we meant to be? Or was it just fantasy? It’s hard to tell what’s true When people hide themselves from you Trying to find love
Will anything stay the same? Can anybody make that claim? Sometimes it’s better to forget Some of the people you’ve met A bad influence to have around
Stuck in this wasteland Can I get a helping hand? It seems like everywhere I go I have to face another foe Caught in a never-ending battle
Can I grab a star? Or is that too far? I reach into the sky Climbing ever so high The higher I go The more I wish to know
The games I like to play Could fill an entire day Action, Adventure, RPG Those are the games for me Isometric, FPS, Top down
Wizard and Witch On a night as black as pitch Mumble the words of a spell For their comrade that fell Little did they know
