Revisiting ZZ
For years when I performed, I kept a small fish bowl on the stage (or area), and a notepad with a pen. If someone requested a song I didn't know, I'd have them write it on the pad, then put it in the bowl and promised to learn it, then perform it at the next show. One day back in 2016 someone requested a song I'd never heard by someone I'd never heard of. The song was "Blue Eyes Blind" by ZZ ward. I promised to sing it at my next show. (I've included a link to my music at the bottom of this article. Stage named Ronni Right).

Green-Eyed Elegy
I think it was the scent of Cinnamon Apples that first greeted me when I entered the Hospice House in Blackshear Georgia, just the week before Christmas. Accustomed to being met with the more terse smells of a nursing home, I welcomed the change, however tinged it was by the circumstances of my arrival.

"Just Not Good Enough". Top Story - October 2023.
Am I the only one who's tired of losing? Maybe I shouldn't be looking at situations as "loss" or "win", but how do you not? Everyone searches for value and self-worth. A little winning goes a long way to supporting that. Is it so much to ask, to just win once in a while?

Public Restrooms
From the time my youngest son could ride in the car without wearing diapers, he could only last about thirty or forty minutes without having to stop to go to the bathroom. I used to think he was doing it to be funny or to look around the bathroom forever, but I learned the hard way that asking him to hold it could be disastrous.
