For unnumbered eons the universe
Has spread into the cold abyss
Radio waves of dwarfs and giants
That still resonate, pop and hiss
Their message is never clear to us
Too technical for our mind,
Forcing them to come down here
To communicate in real time
I believe music's our best response
With the power to take us away
Into melodies of memorable things
Dancing in a mad ballet
Of lovely thoughts that pirouette
Into the shadows of our mind
And pull the force of the universe
From the catacombs of time
To share melodies entwined in us
With galaxies far, far away
Who might send someone to us in peace
Having heard our music play
So bring me an alien to dance with, love
Who I can show the song in my soul
The universal language of love
Inner music that makes us whole
