October Romance
“A boy who loved Autumn. A girl who was forever October.” — Nitya Prakash

For your Autumn listening pleasure while you read....
Colors imbued with the smell of Autumn
Lilt past lantern light
Owl calls seep in from trees
Their voices fill the night
Faces alight in darkened panes
Survey each shaded nook
As furry feet walk wooden floors
Over paper, root and book
The whispering wind calls musically
Begging for remembrance
As flurries of leaves in colors bright
Enjoy its deliverance
Pumpkins alight on windowsills
Lend smiles to midnight’s spell
And little ones lie wide awake
Too excited to rebel
The world is bound in lovely color
In light, and shadows too
And the beauty of Fall is everywhere
It's in my love for you
As we walk a shady lane tonight
Beneath the sparkling sky
October’s romance fills my soul
Holding hands, just you and I
