Woe

The sweetest joy, the wildest woe, is love ~ Pearl Bailey

Top Story - September 2024
From The Sea of Eternal Woe

In silence imbued my dissonance

Pulls shadows from the dark

Casting discord of broken years

Upon a sea of perished hearts

Twist the shades of dusk alight

With memory drenched in pain

My bloody core recoils once more

In the memory of thy name

Damn the specters of my dream

That visit in the night

Selling a love that's gone and done

And offers no respite

Red the fire that burns in me

Smoldering embers of thy flame

Death thy grace is stolen from me

Thy grave forgot my name

I wait the day the hawser line

Shall pull me to that place

Where memories that died in me

Rejoice at the sight of your face

Then I shall shout Hosanna, Love

And victory shall be mine

When on that shore, I hold you close

My love at last with thine.
