That Sunny Day
Ineffective waltzing skeletons

In the idleness of distant thought
Dance skeletons of yore
Tempting memory’s melodies
To waltz with them once more
...
Then I’m arrested by the thought
Of a distant summer day
When the lovely sun caressed your face
In such a tender way
...
Silence follows all around
As my heartbeat stops alert
To the skipping, flitting, thing it did
Rendering it inert
...
And only your love from that day
Has touched me deeply so
As you did on that summer morn
So many years ago
...
Each day that passes from that time
Is dearer to my heart,
And I will love you deeper still
‘Til death we two shall part.

So lyrical and pleasant. And the subtitle is really clever. Great work as always, Veronica. Made me smile.
