The Reflective Discovery
It’s very interesting how we learn and come across new findings. Through the years of “surviving” life and finding oneself I came across a familiar face of which I was not expected to come across. One of the old group of friends that I used to be apart of before disbandment is where I met them. At the time I was very sheltered and had walls put them to prevent any pain and growth to develop for me. Now in my mind I thought of him as someone who was eager and ready to take on the world but as for me, my emotions wasn’t fully acknowledged and thus me becoming oblivious to the potential of what could have been.

The Traveling Foodie
My journey with food is somewhat of a roller coaster i would say. Growing up I was stuck with the family style of food. The "culture" of it all if you will. From the farm to the plate food has been so much apart of who I am. Having different meals in various ways in separate places allowed me too appreciate food and.

The Object of Fear
Fear Feeling of fear. Fear To tell others they are wrong. Fear to make them understand even though you know more than they do. How do you communicate then? How do you discuss your opinion on the same topic knowing they think the opposite? Validation is an important concept. It give us the right of others to be “honest” so we are included and are truthful but is it too much to think you both are right? What happens then? Does our opinion becomes a waste of conversation or does it allow all parties to feel fear?

The Night Before Halloween
Hello! Surprised this is happening again to be honest but here I am, pondering a train station, thinking what has happened. I have been spending so much energy on someone I input so much of my time to & for what? To feel constant hits of positive stride? To feel a sense of wanting. To have someone to talk to every day that you want to talk to? Making decisions with the idea of getting a yes. Maybe I’m looking too into it. Isn’t this what friendship is though, inviting your “friends” to things in hopes that they return the friendship. It must feel nice to present your friends with an opportunity and they agree and equally pay their fair to have a good time around you and those in good company.

What Is Pride?
What is pride? What does it mean to have pride? It’s funny how I don’t consider myself a prideful person. There might be pride in me, but with the people I’m surrounded by, I feel overshadowed by the amount of pride I’m exposed to. This allows me to express myself in other ways, from empathy to respect. I appreciate so many people that are able to show their pride in whatever way they do.

From a Get-Together to Not Forever
After a night at the movies, I didn’t have much sleep before work. Having a lot of alarms forces me to get up and leave on time. That being said, I’m starting to think that my curfew for work is necessary for my optimal health.

Industry1332
From the ends of the Bushwick area to Ridgewood Queens, Industry1332 is a small hipster brunch place that is unique for its karaoke, happy hour, and their brunch dishes. Their tavern theme blends in with the modern artwork outside as well as inside the building. Along with the wonderful food, Industry1332 has a lot to offer considering it is one of the only restaurants in the area.

SnowFox
Way down by Madison Square Park across from the Shake Shack there’s a small make your own ramen spot called SnowFox. I heard good things about this place and after all the chatter I figured I’d go see it for myself. From the design of the place to the food and service, SnowFox has gotten really good traffic which made me wonder why it has taken me so long to try this place out. SnowFox is next to McDonald’s and Chop’t salad place which means it’s fairly easy to find. With a hunger for something to eat I was excited and ready to begin this experience.
